Chapter 9 - 9. Worried mother

As Lu Shang lay on the ground, exhausted and covered in blood, he finally felt a sense of peace wash over him.

He thought back to the battle with the heart demon when he was consumed by negative thoughts and feelings of futility. He remembers how hopeless he felt, like nothing he did mattered.

As the victory over the heart demon resonated in him, Lu Shang felt a shift within himself. He realized that he was no longer the same person he was before, the experience had fundamentally changed him. Now, he felt a new level of inner strength and resilience.

With the heart demon defeated, Lu Shang knew that he was free and would be able to return to his real body. He knew that he still had a lot to learn, but he also knew that he had the power within him to reach his full potential. He was no longer limited by the doubts and limitations that had once held him back; now, he was free to achieve great things.

But now, after defeating the heart demon and discovering his own inner strength, Lu Shang realized that being powerful is not all that matters. In fact, knowing how to deal with things at the right time was also important. He felt a sense of clarity and purpose that he had never experienced before, and he knew that he had learned a valuable lesson about the importance of not giving up on himself.

As he lay there, Lu Shang thought about his future and what he could accomplish with his newfound powers and determination. He smiled to himself, knowing that he had taken a crucial step in his life, and was ready to hold onto that opportunity until he became strong enough to become one of the best. He knew that it may take time for him to accomplish such a goal, but he was ready for anything even if it meant putting his life on the line.

He knew that he would still face challenges and obstacles in his life, but he also knew that he had to try. That was why he was eager to have the strength to protect those dear to him and stop those powerful experts from bullying his family.

He felt a sense of empowerment and excitement about the future, knowing that he was now truly capable of achieving anything he set his mind to. For Lu Shang, the battle against the heart demon had been a turning point in his life—a moment of self-discovery and growth that would change him forever.

After resting for what seemed like ages, Lu Shang regained his energy and took a deep breath. He looked around and saw that the entire area around him was shrouded in darkness. He couldn't see very far, but the darkness was total, with the exception of tiny, shining stones that hung in the air, emitting their own light.

He tried to touch one of the stones but discovered that his hand passed through the light as if it were air. No matter how many times he tried, the light didn't give way.

He was amazed at the beauty of the light and how it hangs and float in the air without any physical support, it was as if an invisible thing was behind the mysteries of the strange sight.

Lu Shang was now able to see that he was in a dark and seemingly endless place. He shouted into the darkness, hoping to hear a response from someone, but the only reply was the echo of his own voice.

He walked around, trying to find a clue or a solution to leave the place, but he couldn't find anything. He had no way of knowing how much time had passed, but he knew that when he returned to his body, he would have a way to know how long he had spent in this place.

After falling unconscious and appearing in this place, he had no time to look around the place he was before the heart demon appeared out of nowhere and began its attacks, so now was the time he was having a clear around this place.

To make matters worse, Lu Shang didn't know that the passage of time was different here. To him, his battle with the heart demon had only taken a few hours in his eyes, but unknown to him that an unknown amount of time had passed in the real world where his body was motionless laying down like a helpless child of the kingdom. He knew that he needed to find a way out soon before he lost track of time entirely.

Lu Shang continued to explore, searching for a way out of the place and hoping to find someone, or something, that could help him.

The darkness seemed to have no end, and it was hard to find any signs of life in the place. However, Lu Shang remained determined to find a way out and return to his real life. He knew that there was a lot of riding on his success, and he was willing to do whatever it took to overcome the challenges he faced and to return to his body and also meet his lovely mother who will surely be worried about his safety.

The expression on his face does change as time passes by, sometimes he will be confused and the next time he will have a different one on his face.

He was beginning to think whether he will be able to get out of this place, or he was stuck here not able to find his way out.

Soon he was tired and then laid back on the floor as he tried to calm down his mind and head that have already been filled up.

In the real world, Lu Shang's mother was greatly concerned about the safety of her child though it has been over two months since Lu Shang had been in such a situation and nobody had been able to find out why he was unconscious for so long after the inspection of his body by powerful physician invited by her, but she hadn't still given up on her hope for his return.

If not that Lu Shang was still breathing and his body was still intact, she will have assumed that Lu Shang was already dead and try to leave on with her life but here reverse was the case.

Ever since she was born she had never seen such a scenario in her life making her wonder if someone was behind this strange situation of her child but soon she shakes off that idea from her head thinking that there is no one who is in his/her right sense that will want to harm an innocent and harmless child for no reason.

Why am I so unlucky? Don't I deserve to be happy and a mother who is proud of her child?? Why does my case have to be different??. As if being born as a cursed child and only bearing one child wasn't enough for me. The child I gave birth to can't cultivate and his father isn't taking care of him either, now he is in a state of unconsciousness and no one knows what caused it or when he is going to wake up from his deep slumber. These were the words that Zhang Xiao said to herself as she cried day and night.
