Chapter 2 - 2. Reincarnation

Everywhere in the city was occupied with people going about their daily routines, failing to notice that in the sky, a slight opening was made in a few seconds and closed back. Portals are usually seen between parallel universes. A blurry and transparent light could be seen flying down towards the east direction.

The blurry and transparent light was the soul of the dead Lu Shang, who wasn't fortunate enough to survive in the ancient tomb due to his carelessness, but the soul luckily survived through an unexpected means.

Soon, it arrived at the front of the Lu clan; it directly entered the clan without any notice. Even though a person was looking in the direction of the light, he or she would not be able to see anything else except for some fluttering shadow that appeared and disappeared in a flash of light, and the movement of the light was so fast that it could not be traced with the eyes unless the person was a very powerful expert.

This light was a strange apparition; it resembled a liquid figure. It was standing inside a room in front of a lifeless young boy. It was apparent from the appearance of the young boy lying on the ground motionlessly with white substance at the corner of his mouth, that he was dead due to the poison that affected his organs and body systems.

The blurry and transparent light moved forward and then started merging into the body of the young dude on the ground; it successfully merged with the body of the boy, and now there were two souls within the same body, but one was dead and the other was alive, which would lead to many complications, especially if they were together.

If care isn't taken, the living soul will also be affected and eventually die along with the dead body due to a dangerous situation. The merging process was a bit risky due to the incomplete mixing of the two souls, but nothing was impossible.

At that moment the dead soul and the poison turned to a black liquid, which came out of the boy's body, disappearing into thin air.

After the perfect and successful blending of the soul with the dead body, the two souls became one. The soul is now ready to take control of the body. After some time, the soul was able to control and take over the body, but still needs time to get used to it and also to fully recover the body's health.

Slowly, the boy's eyes opened abruptly as a strong ache filled his body, he struggled to move to raise his upper torso.

"Where is this?" He asked with confusion written on his face as he looked around the ancient room in found himself.

"Ahhhhh... Am I not dead yet? How possible?"

He stood up and walked to the front of a mirror hung on the wall, and sure enough, what he saw was the unfamiliar appearance of the guy.

Ahhhhhh!

"What happened? This isn't my face," He screamed, touching his face. "This must be a dream."

"How come am occupying the body of another person?" Just as he thought about this, different memories started to replay in his head from both his original life and the person he was occupying.

Now, he had two sets of memories. One from his original life on Earth, and the other from the person whose body he was occupying.

From those memories, he understood a few basic things. He lived in the kingdom known as the 'Nanyue Kingdom' in its capital city, called Jade Continent. The person he took over had the same name as him, Lu Shang, and turned 14 years old this year. Even he was astonished by how handsome he looked.

Lu Shang was the son of the clan leader of the Lu clan. The Lu Clan was the powerholder and ruler of Gaoliang District, one of the cities of Nanyue Kingdom.

He had a chiseled face, a perfect nose, and a beautiful smile, but what attracted him the most was his set of beautiful ice-blue eyes. His pupils were light blue.

He had seen countless people on Earth with blue or brown eyes, but he had never seen anyone with this beautiful set of ice-blue eyes. His hair was brown and kept neatly in place. He was taller than average, but he was not muscular, so his looks did not make him look too masculine. As far as the boy's appearance went, he looked innocent and handsome.

For these reasons, this young Lu Shang attracted the attention of girls and became popular among them but there was problem. Unlike other people, his martial core was incomplete becoming a barrier for his cultivation.

With that, no one wants to associate with him and they looked at him with disgust all because of his trashy martial core.

Even going as far that his own father didn't care about him because he was seen useless to the clan; only his mother showered him with love and care, even after discovering his incapability. She still never stopped showing him love, even after knowing he wasn't useful and was useless to the clan.

Lu Shang could only shake his head pitifully for the young boy, when the memories flashed through his head.

"What a world!"

After admiring himself for a few minutes, he went back to bed and started to think about everything he knew.

The world he arrived in seemed to practice magic and had nine stages of cultivation in every realm before breaking through to the next one.

"Holy crab!" He exclaimed in amazement. "Does that mean I can now perform magic?"

Standing with a smile on his face, he pushed his hand forward and muttered 'Fire' but nothing happened.

Water, wind control...

He tried different elements and moves just like the way he do watch on movies while on earth but it didn't work.

"Why isn't working? Everything about this world is strange unlike earth," He calmly said to himself.

Going through the memories of the young boy he was occupying, he was beginning to understand the basic of this world.

So, it was obvious why Lu Shang was treated as a trash despite being born a pureblood of the clan. This trait and trashy martial core of his made him lack respect from others in the clan.

As expected, the other kids in the clan disliked him because of his inferiority and thought of him as a useless person, treating him like stranger.

The other kids will bully him whenever he comes near them; they even kick him away whenever he tries to play games with them or attempt to have a good relationship with them.

Even the Lu clan, which was the ruler of the city, also felt pressure from other clans to leave the position as ruler of the district and give it to another clan because the clan leader's son couldn't cultivate, and what made matters worse was that the clan leader had an only child, which was Lu Shang, who couldn't cultivate, but because the Lu clan was the strongest in the city, the other clans could not fight against it except the other clans all ganged up and fought against them.

The information about the body that was occupied by the soul of Lu Shang started to flow into his memory, and all the information about the young boy began to replay in his head. He saw how the boy died early this morning, just few four hours ago; the food he ate was poisoned, and nobody knew about it.

"What a poor boy who has suffered a lot at his fellow clan member's hands and even from his father!" Lu Shang shook his head after seeing different scenes where the boy was humiliated and bullied for no reason.

"Why is it that those cruel clan members laugh and enjoy the scene while watching him suffer instead of defending him?"

Lu Shang stood up again and then stood in front of a mirror, looking at the face of the body he was occupying. He was no longer surprised to see how cute and handsome it was. When he compared his former body to the one he was inhabiting, it was like comparing heaven and earth.

"Since I reincarnated through your body, I will help you surprise everyone and make everyone regret looking down on you," Lu Shang said into thin air as if he was talking to the original owner of the body.
