Chapter 1 - Children of Paradise

In the depths of the night, Eve, the young inhabitant of the Garden of Eden, is consumed by a nightmare unlike any she has experienced before. In her dreams, she finds herself thrust into the heart of a chaotic battlefield, where the air is thick with the acrid scent of smoke and the deafening roar of explosions.

As Eve tosses and turns in her bed, her dreams are consumed by a nightmarish battlefield, engulfed in chaos and despair. The air is thick with the scent of smoke and blood, the sound of battle cries and screams of agony echoing in her ears.

She watches in horror as cities crumble to dust before her eyes, flames licking at the sky as the merciless tide of war sweeps across the land. Entire groups of people are massacred before her, their desperate pleas for help falling on deaf ears.

In her trembling hands, Eve clutches a sword, its blade stained with blood while being surrounded by dead bodies.

Suddenly, a figure emerges from the shadows, their eyes burning with malice as they advance towards her. With a cold smirk, they drive the blade of their sword into Eve's chest, a searing pain shooting through her body as she collapses to the ground.

"We will meet again," the figure hisses, their words ringing in Eve's ears as darkness envelops her, swallowing her whole in a whirlwind of fear and despair.

Eve jolts awake, her heart racing and her body drenched in sweat. She clutches at her chest, the memory of the nightmare still fresh in her mind.

Eve brush it off as a simple nightmare And continue to go back to sleep.

Morning came and the day starts off early, with Eve rousing the kids from their sleep and getting everyone ready for breakfast.

We see Eve in the "house mom" role, helping younger kids with their shoelaces and generally caring for the other Paradise children's.

Eve: "Rise and shine, little ones! It's time to start our day."

Adam observing from a distance, admiring Eve's nurturing nature as she helps the younger kids.

Lilith eagerly joining in to assist Eve, ensuring everyone is ready for breakfast.

At breakfast, we meet "father" – James. With white hair, brown eyes, and a warm smile, James tends to the kids with matronly patience and care. The kids all adore and revere him – especially Eve. Following breakfast, the kids are shown demonstrating their intellectual aptitude in a series of tests, which Eve, Adam, and Llilith all pass with perfect scores. Despite their impressive intellect, Adam notes that farther is still far superior as Eve agrees, recounting that they've never been able to beat him in chess.

In the tranquil and harmonious Garden of Eden, Eve, Adam, and Lilith stand out as exceptional individuals among their peers. Blessed with remarkable intelligence and a zest for learning, the trio leads a contented and structured life alongside 35 other children, all under the age of 10.

Despite being just 12 years old themselves, Eve, Adam, and Lilith exhibit a maturity beyond their years, guiding their younger companions with patience and wisdom. Their days are filled with laughter, exploration, and discovery, as they eagerly absorb the wonders of their paradise home.

With their striking black hair and piercing blue eyes, Eve, Adam, and Lilith possess a rare beauty that mirrors the enchanting landscape of the garden. Their features, radiant and ethereal, only serve to enhance their captivating presence among their peers.

Under the gentle guidance of their caretaker, the children partake in structured activities that nurture both mind and body. From tending to the garden's bountiful fruits to engaging in thought-provoking discussions about the mysteries of creation, each day brings new opportunities for growth and enlightenment.

Eve, with her natural charisma and innate leadership skills, takes on the role of a nurturing older sister, guiding her companions with kindness and compassion. Adam, adventurous and inquisitive, leads daring expeditions into the depths of the forest, his boundless curiosity inspiring his friends to explore the wonders of their paradise home.

Lilith, with her quiet grace and gentle spirit, serves as a beacon of tranquility amidst the joyful chaos of childhood. Her keen intellect and empathetic nature make her a trusted confidante among her peers, offering comfort and solace in times of need.

Together, Eve, Adam, and Lilith form an inseparable bond, their friendship a testament to the enduring power of love and companionship. In the Garden of Eden, where innocence reigns supreme and every moment is filled with wonder, they cherish the gift of their happy and structured life, grateful for the paradise they call home.

The kids then engage in a game of tag on the large green fields and among the lush trees of the forest that surround Eden. Eve is best known for her athletic abilities, and so when Adam is "it," he quickly knocks out most of the kids, with the exception of her. The two square off as Eve makes a daring leap over a crevasse to escape Adam. Just when she thinks she's home free, hiding out in the canopy of a tree, Adam feigns falling over and lures her out. "Your weakness is that you're too kind." he says.

Eve: "Oh please, Adam! Smarter and better? More like smug and full of hot air!"

Adam: "Ha! You wish, Eve! I'm just operating on a higher level, you know? It's called being ahead of the curve."

Eve: "Yeah, the curve of your ego! You think you're so clever, but let's face it, you couldn't outwit a squirrel if your life depended on it!"

Adam: "Oh, please! I've got brains for days! Unlike you, with your 'kindness is my superpower' nonsense."

Eve: "Well, at least I don't go around pretending to be a genius when I can't even figure out how to tie my own sandals!"

Adam: "Hey, that was one time, and it was a complicated knot, okay?"

Eve: "Sure, sure, keep telling yourself that, Mr. 'I'm too smart to admit when I'm wrong.'"

Their banter filled the air with laughter, a brief respite from the intensity of their game. Despite their differences, Eve and Adam knew that deep down, they were still siblings, bound by love and shared experiences, even if those experiences occasionally involved untangling Adam's sandal mishaps.

The trio summarizes their game of tag, and another round is played where everyone is "it" except for Adam. He seemingly disappears into the forest, with nobody able to find him until Eve accidentally stumbles upon the outer limits of the forest and notices him gazing at Earth through the portal. She tags him, and the other kids eventually catch up with them. There's a discussion of what the "human world" must be like, and the kids all take turns dreaming about that fated day when they're become of age and finally leave paradise.

Eve: " Adam, why do you wanna leave paradise? This is our home, our sanctuary."

Adam's expression darkened, a shadow passing over his features as he spoke.

Adam: "I feel like I'm trapped in a cage here, Eve. Like my destiny is already decided for me, and there's nothing I can do to change it."

Eve's brow furrowed with concern, sensing the weight of her brother's words.

Eve: "But what do you mean, Adam? What destiny?"

Adam's gaze drifted towards the distant horizon, his voice barely above a whisper.

Adam: "I don't know, Eve. But I can't shake this feeling that there's something more out there, something beyond these walls of paradise. And I need to find out what it is, no matter the cost...." If only I had power...

Eve's heart sank as Adam's demeanor shifted, his once playful nature replaced by condescension and petty behavior.

Adam: "just kidding, I prefer my life here with you guys. But you Eve wouldn't last a day outside of paradise without me."

His words stung like a slap to the face, casting a shadow over their once close bond.

Adam, with a mischievous grin, decides to tease Eve, playfully poking fun at her.

Adam: "Aw, Eve, still clinging to the safety of paradise like a little child, are we?"

Eve, not one to back down from a challenge, responds with a playful smirk of her own.

Eve: "Oh please, Adam! Who's the one afraid of leaving our cozy little nest and facing the big, scary world out there?"

Eve: "I'm not a child, Adam. I can take care of myself and besides you are younger than me.

Adam: You idiot, Did you forget that you, me and Lilith were created at the same time.

With a steely resolve, Eve squared her shoulders and met his gaze, refusing to back down in the face of his belittling remarks.

Eve: "I may not have all the answers, but I won't let you treat me like I'm incapable. If you want to leave paradise, fine. But don't underestimate me, Adam. I'll show you just how strong I can be."

Adam begins Laughing telling her "good luck with that but I look forward to it one day.

"The bell suddenly ring calling everyone for training"

The scene opens with Eve, Adam, and Lilith standing in a spacious training area within the Garden of Eden. They are surrounded by lush greenery, with sunlight filtering through the leaves overhead. James, their mentor, stands before them, his expression serious as he prepares to commence their training.

James: "Today, we focus on honing your skills in both hand-to-hand combat and swordplay. These are essential tools for protecting yourselves and others should the need arise."

Eve is eager and determined "We're ready, Father. Teach us."

Adam nodding in agreement, his eyes gleaming with anticipation "We'll give it our all."

Lilith: Quiet but determined, her focus unwavering "I'm ready to learn."

James steps forward, demonstrating various martial arts techniques with precision and grace. The children watch attentively, absorbing his every movement.

James: "First, we'll start with hand-to-hand combat. Remember, it's not just about strength, but also agility, speed, and strategy. Eve, Adam, Lilith, pair up and practice the drills I've taught you."

The training ground falls silent as Eve, Adam, and Lilith stand facing each other, their practice swords held at the ready. The air crackles with tension as they prepare to engage in a simulated sword fight, a test of their skills and abilities. James watches from the sidelines, his expression grave yet knowing, as he senses the intensity of the moment.

James: Remember to never forget your honor "In battle, combat is not a game. Stay focused, and above all, control your strikes. Begin."

Eve, Adam, and Lilith spring into action, their movements a blur of speed and precision as they clash swords with ferocity. Each strike is calculated, every parry and counter executed with skill and determination. The sound of metal meeting metal echoes through the training ground as they dance around each other, their movements fluid and graceful despite the intensity of the battle.

Eve, her eyes ablaze with determination as she lunges forward, aiming a swift strike at Adam.

Eve, her eyes ablaze with determination as she lunges forward, aiming a swift strike at Adam.

Adam swiftly dodging Eve's attack, his own sword flashing as he retaliates with a powerful thrust aimed at Lilith.

Lilith reacting quickly, she deflects Adam's strike with a well-timed block, her muscles straining with effort.

As the fight continues, the children push themselves to their limits, their breaths coming in ragged gasps as they exchange blows. Despite their best efforts to control their strikes, the intensity of the battle inevitably leads to cuts and bruises, as blood begins to trickle from their wounds.

Eve grimacing as a shallow cut forms on her forearm, she grits her teeth and presses on, refusing to back down.

Adam feeling a sharp pain as Lilith's sword grazes his side, he pushes through the discomfort, his focus unwavering.

Lilith wincing as a strike from Adam leaves a gash on her cheek, she fights through the pain, her determination burning brightly.

Despite the bloodshed, there is a sense of respect and camaraderie among the combatants, a shared understanding of the sacrifices they must make in order to become stronger. As the sun dips below the horizon, signaling the end of their training session, they lower their swords and exchange nods of mutual admiration.

As night falls over the Garden of Eden, the children gather around a crackling fire, their faces illuminated by the warm glow of the flames. They share tales of their dreams and aspirations, each one filled with hopes for the future and visions of adventure beyond the paradise they call home.

Eve, excitedly sharing her dream of exploring distant lands and discovering new wonders.

Lilith, enthusiastically describing her desire to unlock the mysteries of the universe and unravel its secrets.

But when it comes time for Adam to share his dream, there's a noticeable shift in the atmosphere. He wears a smile, but there's something in his eyes that hints at a deeper longing, a hidden sorrow masked by his cheerful demeanor.

Adam, speaking softly, his voice tinged with a hint of melancholy "My dream... is happiness."

His words hang in the air, a poignant reminder of the complexities of human emotion and the struggles that lie beneath the surface. Despite the idyllic surroundings of the Garden of Eden, Adam yearns for something more elusive—a happiness that transcends the bounds of paradise and touches the depths of his soul.

The other children exchange glances, sensing the depth of Adam's words, but they offer him words of encouragement and support, promising to stand by his side as he searches for his elusive dream.

As the children continue to share their dreams around the fire, a young boy named Zadkiel, full of energy and enthusiasm, eagerly joins the conversation. With a mischievous glint in his eye, he tugs at Eve's sleeve and bursts forth with excitement.

Zadkiel, beaming up at Eve "Eve, Eve! Guess what? My dream is to become the strongest warrior ever! And one day, I want to have a super honored duel with someone, like the heroes in the stories!"

Eve, Chuckling warmly at Zadkiel's infectious enthusiasm "That sounds like an amazing dream, Zadkiel! I have no doubt you'll grow up to be a formidable warrior one day."

Zadkiel: Nodding enthusiastically "Yep! I'm gonna train really hard and learn all kinds of cool moves! Then, when I'm big and strong, I'll challenge anyone who dares to face me!"

His eyes sparkle with excitement as he imagines the epic battles that lie ahead, his imagination fueled by the stories of valor and bravery that he holds dear.

Lilith: Giggling at Zadkiel's exuberance "I can already picture it, Zadkiel! You'll be the mightiest warrior in all the land, facing off against worthy opponents in legendary duels!"

Adam: Smiling at Zadkiel's boldness "I have no doubt you'll achieve your dream, Zadkiel. Just remember, becoming strong isn't just about physical power—it's about courage, honor, and pride too."

2 days later, Zadkiel, is actually being chosen that very day. After a day of play and fun, Zadkiel bids a tearful farewell to his Eden family and is led away from the house during the night by James.

During cleanup, Eve comes across Zadkiel beloved stuffed animal – "Little Bunny." Knowing that he can't possibly make the transition into the human world without his dearest friend, she takes Llilith and attempts to return the doll to Zadkiel.

The pair makes their way to a distant forest of sorts, where the portal lies waiting. Eve assumes that if she throws the bunny inside the portal that Zadkiel will eventually find it, but when she is about to throw it, she discovers a horrifying scene.
