"Hey, Demon head!" I yell out; frustration was evident in my voice. "You got any bright ideas on how to get out of these bindings?"
I strain against the tight restraints, feeling my energy draining away as if being siphoned off whenever I attempt to utilize any of my spiritual powers.
The demon's voice resonates in my mind, maintaining its eerie tone but taking on a slightly grimmer quality given the dire circumstances. "This isn't good," he says bluntly.
"No shit, it isn't good! We're locked down, and my face is eating dirt!" I retort, my anger mixing with anxiety.
"Not that, you idiot," he responds, his words laced with a sense of urgency. "The fact that your 'family' has taken such precautions against you housing a demon within you indicates a much larger problem. It suggests that demons are no longer confined to the demon continent alone and somehow they have found a way to escape."
