Chapter 39 - Chapter 4 - All out fight – 4

Year 609

Surrounded by the two bandits, they further mock me by throwing around how small I am.

I hear the screams of the random passengers from behind, but I can only focus on what's in front of me right now.

Deciding that I couldn't waste too much of my time on these two thieves and will have to try and assist the others.

Hey, you two are one to talk, I might be a little kid, but at least I have enough money not to need to steal from people.

It must be fun going back home to the mud hut and eating expired food!

I jest at them, further taunting them; one of the Bandits loses his composure and cusses out at me.

"You little shit, let's see you laugh when I remove your tongue from your mouth!"

He rushes me mindlessly, swinging his sword in a hapless motion.

I smirk at his poor attempts and summon earth magic to create a rock pillar that jets out at him, slamming him in the chest.

I then climb a rock pillar that spirals toward the man a deliver a rock-infused kick to his neck, knocking him out instantly.

After months of training with Kya and Arlo on fighting stances, I understand why the Rock fighting style works very well.

Use your earth to close in and deliver timely blows. Wrapping the earth around you also helps with a severe blow.

On top of all my knowledge of materials, I can quickly summon Iron Ores from the ground, creating an even more dense hit.

The second bandit curses that I'm a spirit user, so I think I'm all that.

I simply replied maybe not, but you're still going to lose to a child.

What's more pathetic than that?

He grips his sword tightly and shouts out I will show you before clicking a short button on his hilt that drops oil down the seams of his blade.

I might not be good at Spirit Reathing, but Tool items help bridge the gap!

His sword becomes engulfed in flames at the blade's edges, making it glow a hot red.

I think to myself how innovative that is. Since he has little access to spiritual energy, he uses his little energy and the environment to create a maximum effect.

I shout back to him; that's a neat parlor trick, but what's the point of making your sword all shiny if it will never land a hit?

He huffs, saying he will show me, and proceeds to throw slashes from afar, and to my surprise, they launch out in curved blades of fire.

The speed was also impressive, as I could barely dodge and block using an earth shield.

In my shock, he took this time to close the distance between us and begin to throw a slashing attack toward me as I adjusted my balance.

Deciding the best course of action is to dodge, I use a Jet of air from my palm and add air to my feet in minor amounts to practically skate off the ground.

Sliding behind him in a quick motion, I yell out, "Divine Stone Pillar," Creating a magic earth spike and crushing him in the back, leaving him immobilized immediately.

Taking a sigh of relief and reveling in the fact that my training has been paying off over the early years.

A young body in this world is basically a sponge and can collect a lot of information that can be used to enhance the magic pool, and just general information seems easier to retain.

I wonder if that might be due to my soul being older than an average child, but Arlo is also an excellent example of how fast one can progress.

Along with intensive training and knowledge can reflect better on the combat capabilities of the user.

This bandit might be filth and trash for what he does, but he just showed me a unique way of fighting.

Wind magic, in small degrees, can have significant mobility effects and strengthen my core fighting styles.

I will have to spend more time in the future learning the other attributes and how Lord Tooj was able to control time around him.

Getting lost in thought, my bubble pops as I hear the screaming of one of the passengers, quickly twisting myself around to see the current situation and if I can be of any assistance.

I see 4-5 people on the ground bleeding as two other passengers use spirit reathing to hold off the bandits.

At first glance, it seems they did rather well as all but two bandits were on the ground, either knocked out or dead.

The two bandits still standing curse that these were just supposed to be poor people with easy money to steal!

The two spirit users respond, calling them fools to assume the Chief would send people without any guards, and both use a water attack that looks like water firing from a hydrant and knocks both the bandits to the ground.

They both sign in relief and begin to help those up around them when a voice cracks beneath them. "What useless losers, Do I have to do everything myself?"

The ground erupts beneath both the Spirit Reathers and a man clad in thin silver armor and wearing a dark cloak with brazen red eyes catches one of the users by the neck.

I scream out to them that he needs to let him go summoning another large pillar of stone and jetting it toward the man.

The pillar crashes into the cloaked man, and once the dust settles, I see that he remains unmoved and gives me a dark glare before snapping the man's neck and throwing his body to the ground,

Little boy, you should really learn to mind your business he says, getting a better view of him as he walks closer to me; I see he is roughly 35-40, covered in grey hairs, and looks to have lost his mind.
