Flames, born from fire elementals, are flames fueled by magic. As long as the magic supply is maintained, these flames are incredibly challenging to extinguish. While conventional fire elemental spells automatically sever the caster's magic supply once released, their supercombustibility remains hard to quell. Furthermore, due to the significant damage that fire elementals cause to many creatures, elemental mages often favor fire spells.
This is why the Flames of Entanglement is one of the core skills in the early repertoire of Glyph Knights. In fact, even among the earliest schools of magic, some Glyph Knights chose to specialize in spells centered around the Flames of Entanglement, emphasizing special damage effects over the use of Lightfoot, which led to an extreme fighting style relying mainly on magic, supplemented by swordsmanship.
