After a brief rest and a meal, Cecilia, Alfred, and Sean set out once again.
Inside the cave, besides the tunnel that Sean and the others had entered through, there were three other openings. One of them was the path the Bloodcry Mercenary Corps had used to retreat. Of course, Sean and his group had no intention of going in that direction. It was apparent that this wasn't a way deeper underground; otherwise, the Earthbound Immortals would have already rushed out, making it impossible for the group to engage them inside the cave.
The other two tunnels included a ventilation shaft designed to replenish air within the cave. It was easy to identify because it was simply a carved path. Unlike the other tunnels, it didn't have a clear widening at the entrance, and the passage couldn't accommodate the movement of cave ice spiders, as they weren't skilled at digging.
