In the boundless and incomprehensible 'Void', there was a human floating there with a confused expression. As Adam was wondering what was going on as he noticed that surprisingly, he was not feeling uncomfortable despite surrounded by darkness. In fact he was feeling oddly comfortable as if he was at finally home after a long time. This strange comfortable feeling disappeared as suddenly a voice echoed in the'Void'.
"HAVE YOU CALMED DOWN?" 'The Voice' was so majestic that Adam could feel fabric of Space-Time resonating with it. He could not even fathom that level of power as he was just a normal human. He was a little good looking healthy young man with short black hair and red eyes. He was an average 21 years old University student like many other. That's why he couldn't understand why a being with God like powers would even acknowledge his meager existence let alone talk to him. He began to wonder if this was a dream but 'The Voice' again interrupted his thoughts and confirmed something.
"NO THIS ISN'T A DREAM, YOU ARE ALREADY DEAD AND I CREATED THIS DIMENSION SO WE COULD HAVE A QUIET CONVERSATION WITHOUT ANY DISTURBANCE."
Adam was very surprised by this as he was perfectly healthy without any issues.He wouldn't believe something like that easily so he checked his body only to find that he couldn't feel his inner organs anymore. Suddenly he did something that intrigued 'The Voice' , he broke his thumb as if he wanted confirm something. But as it cracked ,no sound came and a small crack formed at the joint that connected the thumb, from which a energy like substance was sweeping into the 'Void'.
"What's this?" Adam asked, he somewhat guessed it already but he still wanted to hear it from 'The Voice'. "THIS IS YOUR SOUL. IT IS NOT PHYSICAL BUT IT CAN STILL BE DAMAGED LIKE YOU DID RIGHT NOW. THE ENERGY THAT IS LEAKING FROM THAT CRACK IS CALLED 'SOUL ESSENCE' AND IF THERE IS NO ESSENCE LEFT IN YOU SOUL, IT WILL BE DESTROYED BECAUSE IT IS THE BUILDING BLOCK OF SOULS." 'The Voice' replied.
When 'The Voice' said that Adam immediately checked his hand and saw that the crack was already healed. From this he understood that 'The Voice' didn't want his Soul to dissipate , he sighed in relief as he didn't want to die again just after dying once. But he was still cautious of 'The Voice' ,he asked "What do you want from me?"
"WHAT I WANT IS SIMPLE. A DEAL" 'The Voice' sounded serious as it said that. By now Adam understood that It truly wanted that but he still couldn't understand want he could give It and even if he has something like that , why wouldn't this being take that by force. Af if 'The Voice' had read his mind, It answered
"NO, I CAN'T DO THAT AND THERE IS A REASON FOR THAT BUT FIRST, LET ME EXPLAIN SOME THINGS TO YOU. BY NOW YOU COULD HAVE REALISED THAT THERE ARE MULTIPLE UNIVERSES." Actually Adam had already realised this by the time he saw this being's power, if becoming this powerful was possible then why would anything be impossible. But he was still curious what was so special about him and why couldn't this being take that 'something' by force but he decided to put that aside for now and listen to Its explanation.
" THE THING IS THERE ARE NOT MULTIPLE UNIVERSES BUT INFINITE UNIVERSES EACH WITH THEIR OWN SET OF RULES. BUT THINGS DO NOT STOP HERE, THESE UNIVERSES RESIDE WITHIN A HIGHER BODY WHICH IS CALLED A MULTIVERSE." "YES, THERE ARE MULTIPLE MULTIVERSES, IN FACT INFINITE. EACH MULTIVERSE HAS AN INFINITE NUMBER OF UNIVERSES. THESE MULTIVERSES ARE CONTAINED WITHIN FABRIC OF 'REALITY' WHICH IS BEYOND SPACE-TIME. AND THIS IS WHEN THING COME TO A HALT, ALL OF EXISTENCE IS WITHIN THIS FABRIC OF 'REALITY'. NO BEING CAN ESCAPE THIS SO CALLED'REALITY NO MATTER HOW POWERFUL THEY ARE EXCEPT ME AS I CONTROL THIS 'REALITY'." 'The Voice' stopped here and let Adam digest this information.
At this moment Adam was flabbergasted after hearing the last sentence of 'The Voice', he was surprised many times during the explanation but after this he didn't even know what to say! Firstly , he really didn't expect that he was talking to someone of this level, he thought at most It would be a Universal level being , he didn't even think of the possibility that the being before him would be The ruler of everything! But before he could say anything
'The Voice' again continued " OUTSIDE OF 'REALITY' IS THE 'VOID' WHICH IS ENDLESS. WHEN I GAINED THIS MUCH POWER I WAS SATISFIED AT THAT TIME , I THOUGHT I COULD GO EVEN BEYOND AND GET MORE STRONGER BUT AFTER COUNTLESS YEARS THAT HOPE TURNED TURNED INTO DESPAIR."
Adam could sense the helplessness within his words but that doesn't mean he would choose to believe everything it said , he was cautious to this being from the start and would continue to be. 'The Voice' said after a pause.
"I COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING , ONLY WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO GIVE UP DID I FIND SOMETHING. THE ENERGY THAT FLOWS IN THE 'VOID' IS 'VOID ENERGY' WHICH EVEN I CANNOT INTERACT WITH , BUT SOME BILLIONS OF YEARS AGO WHEN I WAS WANDERING THROUGH THE 'VOID' , I FOUND A MINISCULE AMOUNT OF 'VOID ENERGY' WHICH WAS DIFFERENT FROM USUAL. IT SOMEHOW FELT MORE PROFOUND AND THE MOST SHOKING THING WAS THAT I COULD INTERACT WITH IT, THEN AFTER SOME BILLION YEARS OF RESEARCH I COULD USE IT FOR SOME PURPOSES. BUT THAT STILL COULDN'T BE ENOUGH FOR GOING BEYOND THE 'VOID' "
Adam tried to digest all this information, he was still cautious of this being but he had no choice but to believe him as he didn't have any way to find out if it was true or not.
"BUT THEN I FOUND YOU , WHO HAS THE HIGHEST AFFINITY WITH DARKNESS WHICH DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. THE MULTIVERSE IS INFINITE SO THERE SHOULD BE AN INFINITE NUMBER OF CREATURES THAT HAVE MORE DARKNESS AFFINITY THAN YOU, BUT I HAVE CHECKED ALL THE UNIVERSES AND MULTIVERSES BUT THERE IS NO ONE WITH MORE DARKNESS AFFINITY THAN YOU."
Now Adam somewhat understood why this entity came to him , there was something different about him. Adam was pondering about how he became different, he thought about different scenarios , most of themsounded ridiculous like him being the manifestation of 'Darkness' or him being an entity beyond the 'Void' that for some reason came to this reality and settled here. Although these sounded too ridiculous, he had to consider all the options the he could because if there are infinite Universes then there are infinite possibilities. As he was thinking about these he Heard 'The Voice's again.
" BUT THAT'S NOT THE MOST SHOKING THING. THE MOST SHOKING THING ABOUT YOU IS ... THAT THERE ARE NO ALTERNATE VERSIONS OR VARIANTS OF YOU IN THE WHOLE 'REALITY'! EVEN I HAD VARIANTS OF ME" He paused a bit and continued "THOUGH I KILLED THEM ALL." As Adam heard this he couldn't understand how that was possible.Was he really that special?! Even if That was the case he couldn't be arrogant as it could lead to his demise. He wasn't too surprised by the the fact that this being also had variants and it killed them.He would most likely do the same. Adam was not 'kind' , now that he has been given a chance, he would do anything to fulfill his goal which was to attain Immortality.
As he was thinking this, The Voice spoke again " THE DEAL IS THAT I WILL GRANT YOU THREE WISHES AND YOUR PART OF THE DEAL IS THAT IF YOU EVER GO BEYOND THE VOID THEN YOU WILL HAVE TO TAKE ME WITH YOU."
Adam was quite suspicious about this deal. "All i have to do is take you beyond the 'Void'? He questioned but he also knew that it would be not easy at all and he could also die in the middle of it.
He calculated all of his options and after a while, he decided on the first wish " I want you to give me a System from which i can buy anything , be it living entities or non living things like skills, books , weapons etc. If i kill anyone with a 'Soul' , i will get Soul Points that i can use in the System." Adam told 'The Voice' his first wish. 'The Voice' became silent for a while then answered "HMM , INTERESTING CHOICE. OK , YOU WILL BE GIVEN A SYSTEM FROM WHICH YOU CAN BUY EVERYTHING THE WHOLE REALITY HAS TO OFFER" It agreed to his request while being a little amused.
"My second wish is to be able to absorb any kind of matter or energy and use it to my liking." He spoke, he wanted a convenient way to grow stronger even without any resources. 'The Voice' agreed to it immediately " I SHALL GIVE YOU A SKILL FOR THAT." After hearing that Adam began to consider his last wish carefully, he actually wanted to take a small risk here. He finally figured out his wish after some minutes. " I want protection for my 'Soul'. No one should be able to harm my Soul until i reach Multiversal level, not even you." He had thought this through before asking, even if his wish were to be rejected, that wouldn't be a problem. "HMM A RATHER BOLD REQUEST BUT I WILL GRANT IT." Fortunately ,it seems he didn't have to alter his wish.
After that 'The Voice' said again " NOW, WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE IN THIS WORLD OR ANOTHER? I CAN EVEN SEND YOU TO A FICTIONAL WORLD." Adam was very surprised to know that he had a choice like that. Still he would use this opportunity wholeheartedly.He began to consider everything carefully, after some time he decided to go to another World as he would have more opportunities to gain power there, well that would be equally dangerous but he was prepared for that. After some hours of calculating his options, he decided to go to Overlord Universe as Momonga because he considered it to be the safest. 'The Voice' naturally read his thought and agreed to it. " OKAY, I WILL SEND YOU THERE FIVE MINUTES BEFORE NEW WORLD TRANSPORTATION. GOOD LUCK SURPASSING ME. " It said with a chuckle and suddenly Adam lost consciousness only to find himself in the Throne Room.

Adam opened his nonexistent eyes and saw the huge Throne Room as well as Pleiades and Albedo who were in front of him.He was a little confused at first but quickly arranged his thoughts and began thinking about his plans.He had many plans about how he would increase his powers but now was not the time for that yet as there were only 5 minutes left before the New World transfer.

Now the first thing he did was to make all the NPCs loyal to him.And how would he that you ask? Well first he changed his name to Ainz Ooal Gown and then he wrote a single sentence in the settings of all level 100 NPCs ' Absolutely loyal to the individual named Ainz Ooal Gown'. He did this because he knew that all settings of NPCs would become real in the New World and he specifically emphasized on the 'indivisual' so that they won't confuse between him and the Guild.
Now even if some of the Supreme Beings get in his way , the NPCs created by them won't listen to their commands anymore. Even if Ainz ordered them to kill their creator, they won't be able to refuse. As he was arranging some other things he looked at the timer which was almost up.
