It was the day Amanda Walsh had been waiting for. Today is the day Quinton Consortium finally completing the buyout of the condominium compound.
For this occasion, Amanda was dressed in a smarter looking way, dressed in a blueish green blazer and pants ensemble with a light brown blouse inside.
Her shoes, also blueish green had three-inch high heels; but her red hair was unmistakable.
Along with members of the Quinton Consortium legal team, she walked down to the reception, meeting Jocelyn the receptionist in the process.
"Good morning Ms. Amanda." greeted Jocelyn.
"Good morning to you too Jocelyn. How's your wrist?" asked Amanda.
"It's better now. Thanks for asking." replied Jocelyn.
"You know our plans for tonight, right?" Amanda asked.
"Yes, I do. Let's end this tonight." replied Jocelyn.
"Good morning, Kimberly. Do you care to join us tonight too?" asked Amanda.
"Can I join? I'm in. Jocelyn was there for me when I got slapped in my face. I'm going to return the favour and stand by her side." replied Kimberly.
"Nice. Looks like 'Quinton's Angels' are in full force tonight." joked Amanda.
All three ladies shared a chuckle; but deep down they know there's no laughing around. No one lays a finger on a Quinton Consortium employee, man or woman.
After bidding goodbye to the Jocelyn and Kimberly, Amanda and the legal team proceeded to the condominium compound.
Meanwhile, Derek was in his office going through the work he needed done for the day. He already sent Amanda to complete the buyout of the condominium.
Alone in his office for the first time since taking over the Quinton Tower in Townsville, Derek took some time to reflect on all the events that happened ever since the revelation that he is a Quinton.
Finding his long-lost parents, finding out the family fortune, making new friends, reuniting with old ones, meeting his secretary, getting revenge on past people who thought they could continue to step on him, getting the security he so craved from family..... the list goes on and on.
Derek knows, he has come a long way in a span of a couple of months; but the journey has just begun.
His first steps on this new journey have been taken. He is relieved that he can spend this time to take a check on where he is now.
After a while, it was back to business, back to work.
'Time for phase two' thought Derek.
With that, he grabbed his handphone and made a quick call.
"Hey man, ready to come back to Townsville?" Derek spoke into the phone.
The Quinton Consortium's five SUVs made their way to the condominium compound. Amanda was seated in the back seat in the middle of the five SUVs.
As the five SUVs made their way through the main entrance, Amanda glanced at the name on the front gate of the condominium.
'Townsville Hillside condominium. What a fitting name' thought Amanda.
Soon, all the SUVs made their stop at the drop off point. Amanda stepped out and made her way to the management office.
The paper work took thirty minutes; but the necessary documents were signed and sealed.
It was official. Quinton Consortium has officially bought Townsville Hillside Condominium.
Before, leaving the compound, Amanda was approached by the operations manager of the Condominium.
"Ms. Amanda, do you have some time right now? I like to show you our penthouse unit." asked the operations manager, Rachel.
"Yes I do have a bit of time. Let's go have a look." replied Amanda.
Both Rachel and Amanda proceeded to the penthouse, located at the top floor of the 50-storey condo building. The only way to the penthouse was through a private lift lobby, built only for the penthouse residents.
"Before we go in Ms. Amanda, you'll need this." said Rachel as she handed Amanda the penthouse keys.
"Thank you."replied Amanda as she unlocked the doors and entered the penthouse with Rachel.
The penthouse was a single floor, three thousand five hundred square foot sheltered land of luxury. Marbled floors of the highest quality, chandeliers at the ceiling of the living room, a high tech, open concept kitchen was just the start for Amanda.
Each of the four bedrooms, including the master bedroom, had its own built-in closet and bathroom. While the rest of the bedrooms had their own shower, the master bedroom had an additional bathtub.
The living room balcony gave Amanda an uninterrupted, panoramic view of the entire Townsville business district; she could even clearly see the Quinton Tower towards the side of the business district.
To top it all off, at the corner of the balcony was a jacuzzi, with a retractable canopy cover to protect the user from rain or excess sunlight.
"This is amazing, Rachel. I love this unit. I'm so glad I chose the penthouse. Madison and Jocelyn will love this place too" Amanda said in awe.
"I'm glad you like it Ms Amanda." Rachel replied with a smile.
"Thanks for the tour, Rachel. I'll be moving in soon. Take care of this place for me in the meantime. I'll need to be going now." said Amanda.
"Understood, Ms. Amanda. Have a nice day." replied Rachel as she followed Amanda out of the penthouse.
