The wind started blowing even faster than normal.
The dried leaves on the ground were picked up by the wind and were being blown away into oblivion.
Suddenly, the ground started to shake and all the gravestones on the ground were violently shaking and fidgeting, like something was trapped inside it and was trying to escape.
Not all of the trapped entities in the graves were able to get out, though.
I spectated the scene which looked like it was straight out of a horror film.
Skeletal arms broke through the graves and pulled themselves out of the grave, revealing ghastly and rotten figures.
The dead then all turned their heads towards one pillar that was erected in between the graveyard.
They stared at it with their non-existent eyes for a few seconds and then suddenly, all of them started running towards it, making horrifying screeches and hollow shouts.
*SHHHAAAA* *KKHAAHAHAHAAHHH* *HOOOOOOOUUUUU*
The clatter of their bones were deafening.
This scene would probably be a very enjoyable experience through a monitor, but when I was looking at it in real life, I couldn't help but sweat bullets and gulp down my own saliva several times.
My hands were shaking and I couldn't focus on anything.
But then, I activated Concentration, my unique skill.
I felt my emotions drain away, my heartbeat and breathing returning to normal, and my vision slowly clearing.
I was ready to fight.
All the skeletons that had gathered around the pillar suddenly all fell apart. Literally. Their bones all fell to the ground.
And then, a black magic circle appeared beneath all the bones. The bones started levitating into the air and then quickly mashing into each other. But this mashing was anything but random. It mashed and mashed until all the bones had combined into one big monstrosity of a creature. It had a skeletal head, 3 sets of rid cages and its legs and arms were disproportionately long compared to its body. The skeletal limbs were strengthened with countless bones.
There were two blue ethereal flames burning in each of its hollow eye sockets.
*KHEEEEEEAAAA* *FFSSHHHHH*
Smoke was coming out of its jaws.
If I didn't have the concentration skill, I would have probably puked and passed out.
*SSSSSSHHHHONK!*
I shot a gravity bullet, aiming at its right leg. The bullet immediately imploded on impact, breaking some of the bones it its right leg. The skeleton revenant became aware of my presence.
*KHHHAAAAAAAAAA*
It let out a bone-chilling and hollow shout that made my spine shudder. It seemed like that was the limit of the Lvl.1 Concentration.
The skeleton revenant jumped up in the air with tremendous force, cracking the earth beneath it. It landed a few feet in front of me.
Bewildered, but not shaken, I immediately casted Force Smash. The spell didn't do as much as it did with the other skeletons. It did buy me some time, but it wasn't enough. I had to cast another, stronger version of the same spell.
Repulsion. It is a spell that creates a very strong antigravity forcefield around me, repelling anything that gets in its area of effect. The bad thing about this spell is that it consumes more than 2 times the mana as Force Smash.
The skeleton revenant that had just gotten its balance back from the first spell, was hit with the Repulsion spell, which threw it back on its hips, making some cracking noises in the process.
I didn't let this chance to go to waste. While the skeleton revenant was still in its staggered state, I used the Stone Barrage and Reinforcement combo, to throw 4 super heavy rocks at the skeleton revenant.
The rocks flew towards the skeleton revenant and destroyed almost half of its ribs and the entirety of its right arm.
At this point, I had exhausted almost 80% of my mana. Things weren't looking very good. I hadn't expected it to block 2 of the rocks by sacrificing its right arm...
The skeleton now suddenly jolted up from the ground, and rushed at me with full speed.
I didn't have enough MP to cast another repulsion spell, and I didn't have enough MP to waste on a weak force smash that wouldn't even do the job properly.
I put my faith in the armor I was wearing and prepared to get hit.
*DHAM!* *AAARRGHHH!*
The skeleton hit me with full force. I felt some of my bones crack. I flew towards a dead tree, and slammed into it.
*CHOUGH!*
I coughed up blood. Things REALLY weren't looking good. But I still hadn't lost my composure.
'One well placed gravity bullet should do the trick...', I thought.
The skeleton revenant, which now had tons of cracks all across its body and its right arm missing walked towards me staggeringly.
I watched it with lifeless eyes. Until it got close to a few good looking pebbles.
I smirked and casted Gravity Bullet, aiming at its right leg, which was already quite battered up.
The bullet landed on the intended target, and imploded, throwing the pebbles on the ground towards the leg, and shattering it.
*KHHOOOOOO!*
It let out another hollow shriek before collapsing to the ground. It still wasn't finished though.
It used its left arm and leg to crawl and slide itself towards me.
I also slowly slid myself away from it. This continued for at least 10 minutes, enough time for me to gather some MP.
Then I casted the stone barrage spell and destroyed the rest of the skeleton revenant.
After that, I waited for almost an hour, to fully recharge my MP. I casted 'Regeneration' and 'Painkill', both energy magic spells, to heal myself up temporarily.
After that, I walked over the pile of bones that was supposed to be the skeleton revenant's right arm. In the pile of bones and other debris, I could see a faint purple glow. I picked up the thing that was radiating it, and examined it.
