"Sumiko-san, what are you doing standing there?"
Sango questioned. They were at the school's front gate, Friend B and Satoru had just made their escape from Friend A.
Friend A was crestfallen, but it seemed that he found determination in fulfilling his role. So, he too ran to class. Leaving only Sango and Sumiko at the front gate.
Sumiko glanced at Sango for an instance, looking annoyed.
"Che- Sumiko-san, what's the matter with you-"
Sango demanded.
"None of your damned business."
Sumiko rudely interjected; it was clear she did not want to be trifled with. For what caused this reaction was unknown, but Sango would not let this little charade go on for too long.
Sango calmly walked up to Sumiko and slapped her.
The sound reverberated for everyone to hear the loud face slap.
Sango looked at Sumiko and asked
"Are you calm yet?"
"You!"
"Both of you, STOP!"
As Sumiko lunged for Sango, Mrs. Yuki yelled out for them to stop.
Sango relaxed as Mrs. Yuki stopped Sumiko, but this was within her plan. For her plan to work successfully, Satoru needed to be alone.
There are only so many times Satoru is not accompanied by Sumiko, that being: going to the bathroom and at his own house. In other words, Sumiko is inseparable from Satoru.
So, Sango had to set up a stage.
In this setup, Sango had left a note for Sumiko to read this morning, which had an explosive effect.
'Sumiko has two faces, one for Satoru and another for everyone else.'
Sango thought and using that thought process she created a note that exposed Sumiko as a fraudulent person that Satoru would never love because she is fake.
While Sango was thinking about the rest of her plan, Mrs. Yuki called her out
"You too Sango-chan, you will have to clean up during lunch too."
'Eh, no way~. Anyways, I didn't think that this would be without consequences. Now I need for him to take care of Satoru like he always does. I'll take care of Sumiko.'
The person in question was happily dozing off up right with his eyes open.
This lunch would certainly be an eventful one.
-Come back sheep let me count you
-baa~ no way
Friend B looks distraught as he watches the backs of the sheep get further and further awake.
"So, class what is the answer for the question on the board? You."
Suddenly I get called on by Mrs. Yuki.
"Huh? Me?"
Half dazed I point at myself
"Yes, can you answer the question on the board?"
I look at the board to see the question
It just looks like gibberish! I don't even remember this in the script!
So, in a haze of my half-awake state, I say
"Yuki-san, can you ask a different question?
The class gasped, they expected Mrs. Yuki to act immediately and reprimand me. However, Mrs. Yuki looked away from me with a slight blush.
Noticing this, I flared up in embarrassment and stood up and apologized immediately.
"Sorry, Teacher!"
Everyone laughed at this little event; but Sango eyed this scene closely.
'When did he get so close to Ms. Yuki?'
Sango ruminated on this a bit longer before disregarding this confounding variable. The key to this story is Satoru. Using him, she shall flip the script on its head.
Friend B sat back down after disrupting class. After that event, class went on smoothly to lunchtime.
The bell rang to signal that lunch had come.
I thought I was going to have lunch with Sango again, but when I asked her, she said 'she had some business to attend to.'
So this lunch I'll eat alon-
"Yo! Boyfriend-kun wanna eat with us?"
Satoru waved me down. Sumiko was not with him, but there was still Kohaku and Yasuko.
"Uhm, s-sure!"
I said confidently. I may not be a protagonist on the regular, but I still exhibit their traits.
"Alright!"
Just as we were going to leave to eat lunch, Kei walks in
"Satoru-san, let's eat lunch!"
"Sure! Let's eat lunch together!"
It seemed like a repeat of the first day. Why did Kei decide to come in again? Regardless this gives me ample time to observe Satoru when he eats lunch.
We go up to the roof, which I find strange. Like, why the roof? It just makes it harder for me to observe them! Though, I suppose that much is the point of the roof: privacy.
Yasuko eyes my lunchbox. Noticing this I ask if she were hungry.
"No… I was just looking at it…"
"No need to be shy, I'll give you some food if you're hungry"
Ah, sometimes I play the protagonist just to forget what these girls have done to me and my stupid son, Satoru. It's also easy to forget when your memory gets damaged. I digress, but from what I can remember, is that this woman is a fiendish imp that hides behind a persona of a small and shy girl.
But as I have realized from Mrs. Yuki or Sango, maybe these girls aren't the same as I remember. This doesn't stop my body from trying to escape from here. Maybe soon, I will become accustomed to these girls, and we can all be friends?
'It's unlikely, but I want to give it a shot'
Opening the door to the roof, we each get into our spots to eat. Yasuko and I decide to eat alone, while Kohaku and Kei eat with Satoru.
While I eat, in another part of the school that Sango and Sumiko are cleaning up as part of their punishment.
Sumiko, considerable calmer, asks
"Were you the one to leave that note?"
"Yes"
"I've followed your plan, now explain to me. What does 'This world is fake, and Satoru is the key to breaking out of this façade' mean?"
Sango smiled and explained.
"I have been recently awakened to the true nature of this world. I know what it is, just look at the houses or look inside the classroom. This world is bizarre, and the way to fix it is through Satoru. We must kill Satoru."
Unbeknownst to Friend B or Satoru a secret meeting was being held. A meeting that could decide the fate of this world.
