Brax's perfect score made the entire class burst into chaos. They were already taken aback by having Brax in their midst and now they come to find out that he is also a prodigy when it comes to alchemy.
Earning a perfect score was an unheard-of task which he made possible, adding more to his grandeur.
While Brax's achievement amazed the entire room, one person was not having it.
Kuri has his hands clenched into fists as his nails dig into his palms. First Brax didn't give him any face and now he has taken away his glory too.
He had expected to come here and put on display his superiority over alchemy and why he is known as the prodigy of the Wright clan, but this Brax came out of nowhere and ruined his parade.
His master has high hopes for him and expects him to top the apprentice exam, so how would he react when he finds out that his student came second to someone else?
'Clam down, this is just the apprentice exam. I still have the chance to shock everyone by becoming an alchemist this very day,' Kuri thinks as he takes in deep breaths to calm himself down.
After handing over Brax his identity card, the alchemist moved on to others. He approaches Kuri and hands over his card to him.
"Congratulations Young Master Kuri, you scored 78, very impressive," the alchemist says and moves on to the next.
As Kuri looks at his score, he can't feel the happiness and excitement he should have felt. 78 is an impressive score, hardly anyone has scored so high, but when compared to a perfect score, 78 is nothing.
As for the rest of the class, few barely managed to score 50, with the passing score being 45. With eighty percent of the room failing, the general mood of the room plummeted.
Even after the alchemist left, the room didn't descend into chaos like previously. With disappointment all over their faces, they didn't want to be loud anymore.
Now, with his apprentice ID in hand, Brax decides to leave.

It hasn't even been ten minutes since the results are out and everyone in the guild is already aware that somebody has scored perfectly on the apprentice exam.
"Hey did you hear? Someone scored a perfect 100 on the apprentice exam," someone asks his friend.
"Yes, I did. Who was it?"
"I don't know,"
"Isn't it young master Kuri? He is an alchemy prodigy, after all." Another person asks.
"No, it isn't young master Kury. It's a disciple from the Eleven Mountain sect," an informed guy speaks up.
"Bullshit,"
"Why would I lie? I gain nothing from it,"
"Those Eleven Mountain sect disciples really are something, aren't they?" one of them praises.
"Do you think all Eleven Mountain sect disciples can get a perfect score? You are overestimating them. Sure, they are talented, but no one has ever gotten a perfect score before.
This particular disciple is a genius amongst genius,"
Similar discussions took place all over the guild, which soon started spreading outside in the city.
Prominent families in the city soon got a hold of the information as well.
As Brax became the topic in everyone's mouths inside the alchemy guild, one person was very bitter about it.
He can't help but grit his teeth in frustration as he hears praises about Brax from everyone's mouth he crosses.
'It should have been me,' Kuri thinks. If not for Brax, all these people would be talking about him.
Of course, he is delusional, as his 78 score, though impressive, would not make such a huge commotion, but it would still garner praise from the majority of the masses.
Being overshadowed by Brax, he has lost all rationality.
"Hey, isn't that him?" Kuri's ears suddenly perk up as he hears someone next to him speak up.
"What is he doing here?" Kuri questions in confusion as he sees Brax enter the hall he is in.
Why is he surprised? Because the hall he is in is where the alchemy apprentices come to become 1-star alchemists.
This is where the alchemy apprentices test their skills in making pills and elixirs.
'Don't tell me he plans to complete his alchemist exam today as well?' Kuri assumes, making himself more frustrated and his anger rise even more.
He wanted to become a renowned figure today by scoring the best in the apprentice entrance exam and then clearing the 1-star alchemist exam on the same day, solidifying his name in the annals of history but it's all being ruined by this one person.
And to add insult to injury, the surrounding people seem to have their eyes only on Brax.
"Don't tell me he is planning to take the 1-star alchemist exam right after passing his apprentice exam?" One of the alchemy apprentices in the room questions.
"There's no way. We all know how hard it is to become a 1-star alchemist. We all have busted our asses working and learning under our teachers. There is no way he will become a 1-star alchemist right after passing his apprentice exam," Someone voices out their skepticism.
Hearing this Kuri too thinks of this possibility. 'Yes, he might be just here to inquire about something,' Kuri thinks, reassuring himself. He still has a chance to make history.
He didn't get the highest score, but he can still become a 1-star alchemist on the same day he passed his apprentice exam, creating history.
