Rei was madly dashing through the tunnel, finding two more goblins on his way, unlike the three he took care of, this was not something he did not experience in the past run, but something he expected.
'Of course, there would be more goblins around.'
He handled it aggressively, using his longer reach and speed, the wildly swinging goblin had cuts over its arms, and Rei couldn't find an opportunity to kill that one.
But for the other goblin who stupidly raised its sword and rushed at him, Rei dodged the vertical slash and hacked the sword through the goblin's neck, though due to how dull it still was, it got stuck midway.

'I don't have time for this.'
Taking the other sword and throwing it to the last Goblin, it was distracted for a second from dodging it. Rei managed to finish him off before moving on after picking up another short sword to dual-wield.

He made his way to the right path and found a familiar archer goblin.
'Ugh.'
With a dash and a step to the side to avoid the arrow, Rei sliced and diced, cutting the goblin twice, on the face and the neck, just to make sure as he ran past.

No short bows this time. But eh, who needs it?
He was running out of breath already. Fighting while making a mad dash through the tunnels was pretty tiring. He was surprised he even got this far through.
'Am I too late?' Rei could hear the battle had already started. How long has it started?
Arriving at the entrance and catching his breath. He could see one dead student on the spot he died last time, and the other eight students were struggling against the horde of goblins, one of them tossing fireballs around, another fighting with a dagger, a longsword, and one that just used their fist.
'What the hell is wrong with that guy?'
Rei suddenly saw something green in the corner of his eye and managed to dodge a fatal blow to the head.
"Fuck!"
Rei swung his sword horizontally and cut the surprised goblin, guess perfect dodge is a thing, if you dodge last second and attack, the ambusher surely would be caught off guard. Right?
Well, it happened here, and look at what happened to the guy.

'How welcomed I feel.' Rei had caught the attention of some goblins.
Looking at how much EXP he has, [50%], he adjusted his stance, his sword still lowered, he didn't want to waste any more energy with them raised.
Catching his breath while some approached him, Rei sluggishly dodged before striking back, managing to cut only its flesh before dodging another goblin.
'Should I reposition myself?' Rei thought while he was under fire on mostly all sides, he backed away, looking to punish a goblin's mistake and reduce the numbers.
He glanced to the others when he was safe for a bit, seeing Cherry mostly behind her shield, but also stabbing forward with her spear.
'Guess she learned how to be more aggressive later down the line.'
It was her and the other's first battle after all, while Rei technically only had a few, he adapted quickly as stated, and it was mostly to the death.
'You learn more in a fight than training.'
Rei thought while dodging more wild swings from the group of goblins he has. Then an opportunity, and of course he took it!

'Oh come on.'
He kept dodging, now under more pressure than ever, one wrong move can send him back after all.
[Agility +1]
'That's how close I am to the limit huh?'
Rei then just turned away and ran to another group of goblins.
'Why face whatever is chasing me, and just kill whoever doesn't notice me?'
And so, began his rampage through unsuspecting goblins fighting the other students.

'I'm so dead, I'm so dead!'
Avery tripped on a corpse and fell backward, he was facing one goblin and left his dagger when he had to run away from another goblin And that goblin was currently right on top of him.
Just when he thought he was dead, a sword stabbed the goblin's head on the side, before the other student who did it ran past with a few goblins chasing after him.
Avery blinked, "T-thanks!" Almost forgetting he was on the battlefield while he stayed on the ground, watching the haggard student running around and killing goblins, Avery was out of the moment while thinking of how weird the scene looked.
The said student was now running around, dodging while trying to even breathe due to how tired he is, also cutting down goblins and throwing his sword before dropping it on the floor- Oh, he rolled away instead before stumbling right back up and running off.
'Wow...' Avery hasn't seen anything like it, inspired by how much a young man like him fought for his life so hard even within his limit, made him get up and think.
'Yeah, I gotta try my best, too!'

Back to our protagonist

'Ah fuck, I really wanna die right now, ahh, my abdomen...'
Rei couldn't even breathe properly as he gave his all dodging the attacks, when he came close to getting hit, he intercepted it with a sword before picking one up and throwing it to another goblin.
Right now, he was using the corpses to his advantage while also being wary to not trip and also to look around his surroundings.
'What the hell are the other students doing!? I have most of their attention, can't they help me already!?'
Rei was furious at the fact he was trying so hard, yet no one came to even help him once.
Ah, the savior asking for someone to save him.
'Pshh, like hell I'm a savior, I'm just here to help too!'
"Can't anyone help!?"
And as he asked for it, a fireball came and hit two goblins, Cherry came with her shield and learned how to finally bash them, and the dagger student and the longsword one were helping clear out the others.
"Thank God."
But it wasn't over yet, at least not for Rei. He was still mostly the target of their ire.
He was lucky this time. A goblin came at him with an upper slash, and he dashed forward and slammed the blade on its throat.
'God, I wish I was stronger...'

[You have leveled up!]
'Speak of the devil, or uh, eh whatever.'
Seeing the horde of fans coming his way, he immediately decided to dump it all into agility.

'If I won't survive this, what's the point in having extra points anyway!'
He didn't gain any stamina on leveling up like that one spider novel he liked, he couldn't topple a whole group and face an army endlessly if he just leveled up in the battle.
But he did notice his reaction time was slightly faster, he felt slightly lighter, as he danced — sluggishly threw his body — around the blades and daggers of the goblins, and even the thrown daggers and sword that came at him, before stabbing a goblin in the throat with a dagger.

'This is so euphoric!'
And the feeling is gone, but a new one replaced it, even greater adrenaline.
"DIEEE!" Rei went crazy as he killed more goblins with the dagger, and some weapons here and there, but he was still dodging — without grace — through all the attacks.
The other students were doing well while Rei mostly had the horde on him, clearing most of the ones on the side, yet, luck had to end.
"Phew..." Rei was covered in blood, so much blood on his clothing, his hands were soaked by now from the recent kills.
'Damn...' As he wiped the blood off his hands, rubbing it on his pants, he noticed...
"Ah fuck..."
He had cuts all over his arms, his pants had also tears and he was bleeding.
'Why didn't I feel it-' And before he knew it when the adrenaline all faded.

"Holy shit..." Avery gazed at the corpses of goblins all around him. He also saw a few students who died mid-battle.
But by far, what shocked him the most was that one madman, dropping suddenly into the hill of corpses around him.
"OH NO!"
