Chapter 35 - Revelation

As the village of Saltmarsh continued to develop and thrive, the signs of progress were evident everywhere. Construction projects were in full swing, with numerous watchtowers being erected along the coastline and around the village in the forest, serving as vigilant guardians of the village. The foundations of new buildings were laid, and the skyline of Saltmarsh began to change with each passing day.

The presence of law enforcement became increasingly visible as policemen patrolled the streets, ensuring peace and order in the growing community. Their watchful eyes and swift actions helped maintain a sense of security among the residents.

A small troop, specially recruited for the village's protection, could be seen practicing diligently in designated training grounds. Their disciplined drills and synchronized movements reflected their commitment to safeguarding the village and its inhabitants.

The village market buzzed with activity, as traders and vendors filled the stalls with a diverse array of goods and produce. The once-sleepy marketplace had transformed into a lively hub of commerce and interaction, attracting both locals and visitors.

Word of Saltmarsh's progress and promising future spread, drawing more people to join the community. Individuals from various walks of life sought refuge in the village, bringing with them their skills, knowledge, and aspirations. The growing diversity enriched the fabric of Saltmarsh, fostering a sense of unity and collective growth.

Amidst the ongoing developments and increasing population, the spirit of optimism and opportunity permeated the air of Saltmarsh. It was a testament to the hard work, dedication, and vision of Chief Kamal Khan, the five friends, and the entire community. Together, they were shaping a brighter and more prosperous future for Saltmarsh.

Danish and his friends were called by Lili who was on the island. The formation she was working on was completed. It was a training formation that she had prepared for her friends. Before she let them embark on the path of magic a small test was needed to be conducted. It was a test of talent, every magi at a very young age would under go this talent test to know their affinity and amount of talent.

Lili had prepared two formation; first one was the affinity identification test, and the second one was the training ground. As the friends lined-up before Lili, Leila was the first one to be tested. She came and stood be fore Lili who was standing on a raised platform. Lili pricked a small hole on Leila's little finger and put the finger on the formation. As soon as the finger came in contact with the formation green light started to emit from the formation.

Next in line was Kaito. He followed the same steps as previously told by Lili. In reaction to his contact, the formation began to turn black. It was a mix of gray and black. Lili showed a surprise as she saw the result of Kaito's talent.

Following that, it was Malik's turn. The formation did not react at all to his blood. It remained as it was, there was no change whatsoever.

The formation turned Yellow as Turan put his little finger in the formation. Lili looked at Turan and nodded her head at the result. Her reactions already answered few of Danish and his friends' questions.

Finally, it was Danish who place his little finger on the formation and once again there was no reaction from the formation.

Lili thought for a while, "The results are already out for your affinities. But these results may not be so accurate as my formation is very crude and may be not completely reliable." Lili began talking. "As for now, all that I have to say is that only three of you are able to perform magic. Leila," she faced Leila, " from your affinity that has large amount of nature in it shows that you can become a potential nature class magician. You are very closely connected to the nature, if you work hard you can become a forest spirit or may be guardian, who knows."

Everyone listened carefully. " As for Kaito you surprised me the most, your affinity is with dark magic. You are a potential thief, assassin and a necromancer." Lili giggled at her on words. "And black magic affinity is among the rare class of magicians. Congrats!" she again gave a chubby smile and moved to the next friend.

"As for you Turan, you are the most useful in the present scenario. You a perfect scientist, architect, and mechanic of this land." Lili praised Turan for his power and his usefulness.

"Danish and Malik, I am very sorry but my formation could not tell your affinities. It could be because you are not meant to be magi or maybe because you are among the rare class that my formation is incapable to tell, as I told you guys that it is only the very crude form of talent-identifier."

There was a silent for a moment, all the friends looked at Danish and Malik as the results were not what they had expected, so they all felt a bit sad for them.

Lili looked at both her friends and began to think of something. She made everyone sit before her and began to explain to them few thing about the huge world, with her vast knowledge and understanding, she enlightened her companions about the diversity of classes that existed beyond the realm of magicians. She emphasized that since they were unaware of the power that existed beyond their realm she began to call all of them magic where as magician by it self was just a class in the vast world. She also told them that the world was not solely centered around magicians but encompassed a multitude of other significant classes.

First, she introduced the warrior class, individuals who honed their combat skills and fought valiantly to protect their beliefs, people, or lands. These warriors, with their courage and strength, played a crucial role in maintaining order and defending against threats.

Lili then delved into the intriguing world of assassins, a distinct class known for their stealth, precision, and lethal skills. These individuals operated in the shadows, executing covert missions and eliminating targets with deadly efficiency.

Another fascinating class she mentioned was the light bearers, individuals who possessed the ability to harness and manipulate light energy. They wielded their powers to illuminate darkness, heal the wounded, and bring hope to those in despair. The light bearers were often seen as beacons of positivity and guardians of harmony.

Additionally, Lili introduced the concept of transformers, a unique class capable of shape-shifting or transforming their physical forms. These individuals had the remarkable ability to adapt to different situations, taking on various appearances and abilities as needed. Their versatility and adaptability made them a formidable force in the world.

Lili emphasized that these were just a few examples among countless classes and races that inhabited the world. Each class had its own set of skills, abilities, and purpose, contributing to the intricate tapestry of existence. Understanding the diverse array of classes and their respective roles was essential to comprehending the world beyond the realm of magicians.

As for the test it was just an affinity test. Though few affinities could be used by multiple classes, for example the black element affinity could be used by assassins, necromancers and thief class, but what really decided the class was talent.

Meanwhile, Lili also revealed that she was not a magician by class but something else, and she knew only some of the very basic magics. She also told that magicians could draw hundred times more powerful formation than hers in just few seconds.

With newfound knowledge, Danish, Malik, Kaito, Turan, and Leila realized that their journey extended far beyond the realm of magicians. They eagerly embraced the notion of exploring the vast and varied world, encountering different classes, races, and beings along their path.
