"Where did you go?"
When Chu Liyuan opened his eyes, he realized that the lass had disappeared. He did not see her outside the tent either.
He had put on his clothes and was about to go look for her when he saw her appear out of nowhere again.
He came out of the tent and put his jacket on Jian Dan. He held her hand with both hands.
"I just went for a walk by the river."
"Hungry?"
"Yes!"
"Come here!"
She watched as Chu Liyuan retrieved milk and cookies from her backpack.
Jian Dan did not even know that she had these things in her backpack. When did Uncle put them in? Why didn't he tell me? If he hadn't come, wouldn't I have carried them back?
Or did Uncle already know that he would come??
"After eating, pack up and go back!"
"Go back? But this camping trip is three days and two nights. Will they agree?"
