Xiang Wan was at a loss for words; she was simply not very acquainted with swear words and had misunderstood their meaning.
Through the rearview mirror, she saw Zuo Xingyun's car trailing behind. It seemed as though he had no intention of overtaking until they reached the fork in the road where he turned and merged into the flow of other cars.
As they were nearing the school, Xiang Wan reminded Achen, "I haven't had breakfast, and you haven't either, right? Let's stop by that pancake stand on the way."
"Got it," Achen responded with a sound of acknowledgment, focusing intently on the road ahead.
When they arrived at Yu Shuqi's pancake stand, Achen pulled over to the curb.
There were quite a few people waiting in line at the stand; it looked like they'd have to queue up.
Xiang Wan began to worry; she did not want to be late, but she didn't want to go hungry either.
Noticing her concern, Achen confidently patted his chest, "You stay in the car; leave it to me."
