Chapter 1 - Fallout: Steel Pride

Chapter 1

Sarah clenches what remains of her left arm, the pain almost overwhelms her senses. As a result of the force from the shot, she fell to the ground and dropped her laser rifle. With her little remaining strength she props herself against the alleys cement wall. Gunshots ring out as the rest of her team, the Lyons Pride, fights off a sudden influx of super mutants a distance away.

Sarah had broken off from the pride to investigate a place they could hold up and fortify, she wouldn't have any reinforcements at the moment.

Even though she was suited up in T-45 Power Armor, the single high caliber bullet shredded the metal like it was nothing.

Sarah was taken completely off guard by the sneak attack, she didn't expect any sort of mutant to have such firepower and precision. She thought for a few seconds before a bulky figure rounded the corner.

Only, it wasn't a super mutant.

She stares into the man's eyes, whose power armor proudly presents the Brotherhood logo. He wears a cape that droops over the left side of his body. He also wields a long and clean rifle, clearly made to pierce tough armor.

Obviously, he holds a piece of Western technology. An Anti-Material Rifle. Trading for something like that this far from the NCR is nearly impossible, the brotherhood back at Lost Hills dismantled any they could come by to limit the amount of risks to their power armor as much as possible.

She gives it another quick moments thought and then tries to reach for her laser rifle. The man quickly intervenes with a swift quick to the weapon, sending it scraping across the concrete, out her reach.

"Sarah Lyons. Daughter of recently deceased Owen Lyons. The Elder Council has sought to re-establish ties with thisā€¦ 'chapter'." He spoke in a calm condescending manner

Sarah flips him off with her remaining arm at the thought of the Elder council. She knows of their greed and isolation, the whole reason Lyons spilt off for.

"Only you're not in it. I hear Maxson is becoming a fine young man. Is he not?" These words echoes in her head as a sudden realization kicked in. She re-examines the symbol on his shoulder. Not Brotherhood, but close.

A sword over a single cog.

She can only mutter outā€¦ "Circle?"

The Circle of Steel.

A mysterious subdivision of the Lost Hills brotherhood meant to resolve internal conflicts among chapters, or whatever the Elder Council desires of courseā€¦

The operative's professionalism kicks in as he approaches her injured body.

With the last few seconds of her consciousness, Sarah mutters a faint:

"Fuckā€¦ Youuuuuu"

The man kicks her in the gut and she passes out.

Blood pools around Sarah's body as the operative stood over her. He then takes out a combat knife then reveals what's under his cape.

Dozens of etchings cover the operatives left side, and he adds one to his shoulder piece.

After, he covers the markings up with his cape and walks deeper into the alley.

Chapter 2

Sarah woke up a few hours later to a relatively silent atmosphere (except for the occasional chaos that can be heard in the distance).

Her arm was still bleeding an she was feeling dizzy and disoriented. She retrieved a rag from the torn jumpsuit that once covered her previously attached arm and used it to cover the spot and put pressure on it.

Meanwhile, Sarah is declared dead to the rest of the chapter.

Sarah continued to apply medical treatment to herself until she saw it fit to leave the area.

She wanted to make her way back to the Citadel until she was pinned down by Talon Company Mercs. She retreated into the metro system for safety.

(Authors Note: This story involves the West Coast BoS (Lost Hills) secretly disposing of Sarah (failing obviously) and helping Arthur Maxon rise to power. While the West and East Coast Brotherhoods aren't in direct communication, an agent from the Circle of Steel oversees Arthur until the point he deems them worthy of reconciliation. Sarah on the other hand gets caught in the sewers by ghouls where she is saved and promptly captured by slavers from paradise falls. She is sold into slavery as worker for some organization Ohio. She is enslaved for years until a local resistance group (kinda like the regulators from fo3) strikes the organization and frees the slaves. With her freedom, she ventures east. She goes through Pittsburg which has recently undergone changes. She's impressed that the now developing city of Marieville could even emerge from what she heard about the scourge. She makes her southeast where she travels through the Mire and meet the various clans of northeast West Virginia. Berkeley Springs was reclaimed by nature and a dillusional Mrs. Nanny searches for a child that perished centuries ago. Harpers Ferry is a cesspool of Mutants with a small human presence within the well protected armory. Sarah learns about Free States from various terminals and even a bunker she encountered. She eventually makes it to Maryland and eventually D.C. before finding out that Lyons Brotherhood is no longer a present force in the region. She makes it to Citadel which is run down and shows signs of battle. Within, a few people clad in T-45 power armor raise laser rifles at her before one notices who she really is. They are dumbfounded and take her in. She gets the story that Arthur rose to power, changed the ideals of the East Coast chapter, brought back the outcasts into the fold, built an airship from the remains of the mobile base drawer down in Adams AFB, abandoned the purifier (and the people of the wasteland), sacked rivet city for a power source for their new airship, the "Prydwen", and headed northeast with it. Lyons sympathizers were peacefully allowed to stay behind as Arthur though it would be a waste of resources to fight them. Up until now, the remaining few try their hardest to no avail at helping the wasteland. The purifier was destroyed by Talon Company Mercs who were presumably hired by Enclave remnants who bartered advanced technology in order to finance the strike. Rivet City is now ran by a crime family, the Republic of Dave still somehow exists, and many other things happen. Eventually, the Lyon Remnants come under a new banner of the newly formed Brotherhood of Lyons. With Sarah's leadership skills, the group embarks northwest to find Arthur's Brotherhood and to get revenge. To be continuedā€¦)
