This field, covered in red, people enveloping the entire valley.
The same valley which used to once be green and vivid with color, but is now ashen red after a battle deciding the fate of the continent, or perhaps the fate of the world.
I lay there, one of the few survivors on the battlefield, surrounded by bodies I begin to think,
To my left comrades scattered everywhere and the right is a mix of my friends and the enemy.
Everyone is dead now, hardly anyone even breathing,
I had lead these people to their death.
I'm the reason they're dead...
At least we tried our best, even him, my lover from another world
He and I are together, even in the end.
We might not be able to talk as we're slowly dying but, we're together and that's enough.
He didn't deserve this, a man from another world pulled into ours just to die at the hands of our enemies.
A lone person walks through the valley admiring the field with sadness in their eyes.
Walking to me saying "I pity you" in a pitiful and sorrowful tone,
I look up wondering 'Why do you pity me, What could I have even done DIFFERENTLY?!'
Furrowed brows planted atop my head saying all that needs to be said to this mysterious figure.
As time passes they then offer me a choice whilst I'm taking my last few breaths,
"Will you try again?, or will you choose another?" They say while staring at me with a blank yet uniquely warm gaze,
I sit there for a moment pondering what I should choose to do,
It'll affect everything, it'll change the entire outcome of this war,
"I...."
I know what to do,
"I choose, my otherworldly partner, they will find me again and prevent all this from happening!" I said using the last of my energy before I died.
A moment passes before anything else happens.

The figure turns to face me, covered in mystery this figure then becomes enveloped in light, this light touches everything and begins to turn back time,
As this happens I begin to become more attentive to what's actually happening. Then remembering what just transpired, tears, many many tears begin to fill my eyes and pour down my cheeks,
She's gone now, my lover, the one person everything I did was for, I let out a wail but it feels as though no sound escapes.
Light lets through scattered images, I'm beginning to forget everything, the tears have now dried.
I wake up to hear a familiar voice calling my name, but all I do is shake not even remembering the dream.
