Chapter 43 - Chapter 43 Vaelexis Eternia: Primordial Ascendance

After they returned, Azrael and Lily, spent 1000 years in seclusion, thoroughly comprehending their techniques. This was the first time that they had felt challenged in this manner.

It was finally time to begin. They visited Aurelian, who wanted to be present in case anything went wrong. He also advised them not to cultivate their techniques simultaneously and wait for one of them to finish first.

They decided that Azrael would be the first one to practice his technique. Just as he was about to begin, Aurelian stopped him and asked, "Have you decided the number of avatars you will create and the boon and bane you will bestow upon them?"

"Boon? Bane? What are you talking about?" Azrael asked in confusion. Aurelian answered, "You can bestow one boon upon your avatars. It can be anything that can be considered a cheat unique to them; a cultivation technique, a bloodline as long as it doesn't belong to a Cosmari, a system, etc. This is to ensure that they can reach the peak of that universe."

"But at the same time, you must bestow a bane. If the boon is too strong, your avatars may mess up the balance of the universe they will travel to which could greatly weaken or even kill them. We do not want to hurt other members of our race. We are already less in number as it is."

This changed things for Azrael. He decided that he would form 100000 avatars. Each avatar would have the processing power of 1.08 billion individual minds. It was a nerfed version of his own processing power. He was sure that with this boon, his avatars could amass massive amounts of information for him to design a powerful cultivation system.

As for the bane, they could only have a single affinity. For example, if an avatar chose to specialize in the Way of Fire, their affinity for any other Way would become absolutely abysmal. This applied to weapons or other Ways as well.

This actually worked for him well because it would allow him to obtain a diverse knowledge of the various Ways. Now that he decided this, it was time to begin.

He carefully recalled Step 1 of the technique, Celestial Ignition and Primal Awakening. He further divided it into three steps; igniting the Cosmic Flame, awakening the Celestial Star, and Illumination.

To ignite the Cosmic flame, he focused the full might of his consciousness into his Nexus. He took a moment to appreciate the tapestry formed by the nigh infinite stars that graced his Nexus. He started by arranging the stars in a series of arrays.

Throughout the course of his evolution, his understanding of Rune Mastery also evolved to the point that the term Rune Mastery didn't do it justice. He regarded the individual runes as letters, formations as words, and arrays as sentences.

The arrays started siphoning all types of energy except Stellar Energy from each star toward the center of the array. At first, the stars could easily keep up with the siphoning, but slowly, they could no longer keep up with its pace.

After a very long time, all the energy had been siphoned and only husks formed from Stellar Energy remained. The siphoned energy gathered in the center of the arrays was also going through a mystical transformation.

The different attributes clashed and fused with each other. Azarel didn't interfere in the process and let it run its course. The energy soon stabilized in a weird-looking substance. It seemed to exist in four different states; solid, liquid, gas, and plasma simultaneously.

This was the fuel of his Cosmic Flame. Following his thoughts, it started burning. The flame resembled Primal Chaos greatly. It raged until all the fuel was used up and settled down into a small candle flame. Although small in size, it was very volatile.

He started spinning the small flame until it formed a vortex. The vortex wanted to absorb the husks formed from Stellar Energy but he suppressed it from doing so. This part was very crucial in the awakening of his Celestial Star. The vortex sped up its spinning increasing the suction it generated. But this also resulted in it becoming unstable.

He let this go on until the vortex was about to collapse. He had to time the next step perfectly or else his Cosmic Flame could get destroyed. Although he could start over, he would have to wait for his stars to recover and the new Cosmic Flame would be significantly weaker.

Just as the Vortex started collapsing, he released the suppression. The husks rushed toward the collapsing vortex. The collapse didn't stop but instead of snuffing out, the Cosmic Flame started stabilizing.

The nature of the Stellar Energy gave it a spherical shape and transformed it into a star. The star became alive, its surface burning with the Cosmic Flame. Azrael's Celestial Star had awoken. It had started generating the Cosmic Flame on its own. The Stellar Energy acted like a stabilizer, changing the flame's volatile nature into a gentle one.

Now only the last step was left, Illumination. Azrael didn't need to do anything in this step. He just had to do the Celestial Star do its work. The Celestial Star started absorbing the Primal Chaos from his multiverse.

It didn't just absorb Primal Chaos, it also refined it, albeit very slowly. It then fed the refined Primal Chaos back to the multiverse, then repeated the process. It became the heart's equivalent for the multiverse.

Azrael was finally done with the first stage of the technique and could move on to the next part after a short break. This process had been incredibly taxing for even his vast consciousness.

Now it was time for Step 2, Soul-Splitting and Avataric Genesis.

He was particularly familiar with this step as he had done something similar when he had created the CSS. The difference was that the process right now would be much more refined.

He started by splitting a small shard from the Universe Cores of all 108 trillion universes. After being separated from their universes, these shards were naturally attracted to the Celestial Star. These shards were baptized by the Cosmic Flames of the Celestial Star repeatedly until they fused into 100000 individual souls.

They looked like wisps formed from the purest Primal Chaos. Each individual soul had the processing power of 1.08 billion souls. Azrael realized that this wasn't a boon but an innate ability that they would naturally possess. He began thinking about what boon he should bestow upon them but then it him.

The biggest issue with having such processing power was not having the energy to support it. Even he had suffered from this. So, he created a link with all the avatars that would allow them to use a limited amount of his energy as a substitute.

Of course that didn't mean that they would be able to use the full potential of their innate ability from the beginning. It just made sure that they would be able to use some of their processing powers even as mortals without straining themselves.

He then bestowed the bane as well. They would only be able to specialize in one Way. But even Azrael didn't realize at that moment the extraordinariness of the avatars. They were baptized by his Cosmic Flame which was capable of refining even Primal Chaos, their source.

Now that he had formed his avatars, all he had to do was choose the seniors whose universes his avatars would travel to. He decided that he would only personally choose some of the universes and send the rest of the avatars to random universes.
