Chapter 35 - You Shall Fear Me

'Know Immortality - 2nd stance'

A backhanded side slash demolished the marsh and moss that coated the area.

The white knightess retaliated by unleashing such power as though she were fighting against a mammoth-scale tortoise.

The monstrosity that tanked the force of the brutal slash was not a pushover either!

And the small nimble fledglings that resembled a fish, made of agarians spines and nightshades - "The Insect Piranha"

- Were hiding amongst the Sumaumeira and the creepers that grew on them which could attack from any angle in the Amazonian environment.

A tactical encirclement utilizing the characteristics of all the creatures in this battle. Which is not an understatement - the knightess were at a large disadvantage!

Nevertheless, the one being outnumbered cannot be underestimated as well. A knight's pride and prowess is fearsome when their lord's will is on the line.

[Swordplay of Longevity]: The Marrow Knightess can harness the power of endurance. The more outnumbered the user is, the stronger DEF and CDEF they can tap into. This passive skill can be evolved upon using stronger sword stances.

Speaking of prowess, the current stance of 'Know Immortality' is a backhanded stance that is focused on reflecting and defensive might; so while it may have looked one-sided, it became a stalemate… and a battle of who could outlast the other.

Booboo knew this, as well the plans that Aldritch had for her. This stalemate was necessary to begin with.

For the time being, the one overlooking the entire process seeing as two people had ventured into his territory and had made this stalemate possible - King Fisher or Viceul were getting chills and an urge to end the inevitable and not letting himself lose in his own grounds.

But he wasn't a reckless person. Nor was he easily led by small mishaps in his calculated strategy - the discipline that was ingrained into who he had become had reinforced itself into a powerful mentality that allowed him to adapt again and again.

'What was the purpose of this?'

That's the question he must ask himself as he pondered with teeth gritted on a strand of wheat.

He could see that Aldritch was going for an aggressive frontal assault - but there had to be a purpose behind it.

A distraction? An all out attack in hope to reduce his forces? No matter what it was, he had to respond to it or he would lose in terms of moves he could make.

" Crimson, go for their main base - make sure to kill everything! "

" If we can hold their backline hostage, the opponent will have to surrender eventually. "

" I'll hold the knight off, I might be able to kill them and join up with the remaining forces. "

King Fisher barked a desperate order that might seem risky at first - but this actually had many implications and out to it.

And he was confident in his own strength after evaluation of the enemy's. It wasn't impossible to kill the knight or the cloaked man that were hiding just barely behind the unit.

But before he could move as planned, an annoyance of remarks pierced his ears.

"My king, what if the enemy there was strong - if it's a major unit like me-"

"Tch, then you just have to delay them! Or use your technique to gain an upper-hand - I don't have to do everything, do I?"

"Plus, the conditions will be more favorable for us once the purifier spore extends up to 20 meters. "

" In short, don't make me repeat myself - Crimson. "

Using a glare with a killer instinct, he challenged Crimson to speak again.

She knew that if she were to say something that would touch him wrongly, her life would be the least of her worries.

"I-I understand. I'll follow your will, King."

Crimson Thorn, despite being a top red grade, was highly suppressed and would rather follow the command of the man that was the heir of the notorious family of assassins.

As soon the major unit left, all he had left were the intruders that dared challenge his turf.

'I will make you regret it, TyrantFTW'

Without a doubt, his shadow remained on the hill where his fishing pond used to be.

King Fisher has made his move, and thus the real battle was about to begin.

'Status Report, all units report to the central command.'

'Booboo fighting. Booboo okay.'

'Julie here. We are infiltrating without any issue, God Aldritch'

'I have no issue thus far. The plan is going as you envisioned, my warlord.'

'I see. Keep up the good work - Jigash, I'll have to trouble you on maintaining the communication and joint visions.'

'Your new skills are handy as always.'

'I am lacking compared to you, warlord. But I will treasure this tribute you've spoken.'

[Eldritch Vision]: Utilizing the power of the otherworldly observation, the user is able to tap into the sight of any familiar living beings or objects, granting them the vision of another 'eye' that peers into any environment that functions as equally as powerful as one's sight.

[Cost's user SS stat and concentration]

[Heimal Path is able to nullify the mana restriction of the skill for an hour.]

[Cost 10 Mana per 10 meter distance.]

[Heimal's Covenant]: Using the bonding characteristics of the Heimal path, the user is able to form a psychic connection which shares visions or somatic words with the chosen close allies. If not of Heimal path using this skill, they must pay the cost of Sanity and Lore afterward.

[This Skill can only form up to 5 connections.]

[As the user's rank increases, so too will the skill's restriction.]

[Heimal path: Completely nullify the mana and distance restriction on this skill.]

'Warlord, it seems I have detected an enemy intruder. I'll change my priority to defeating them.'

'Hm, alright - just make sure to report back once you're done. As soon as Julie finishes her part, we're going to use their strategy against them.'

**

In all her life, she had lived as a queen - revered by all life forms regardless of race. She had savored the luxury of the top on the food chain.

But like all stories go, her's collided with the realization that she was merely a frog in a pond.

When she was killed by a stronger creature than her - it awakened an instinct within her to live.

That's why she couldn't allow herself to be killed, even at the cost of her own pride. She didn't want to be tortured by that king.

Therefore her eyes latched onto the sight of a burly man with the face covered by his helm.

In an open area where she could perceive that he was guarding the nearby supplies somewhere, she would normally sneak behind him and complete her mission.

Yet, she felt intimidated by this single entity below her. Nevertheless, it was unaware of her presence.

She had to completely kill it before it noticed her!

Utilizing her skill [Natural Fritillaria] she is able to traverse through the terrain that had flora grown upon it, it's similar to teleportation but quite limited,

Even so, in the open field terrain where she could easily mitigate her presence and instantly appear behind her enemies - she is unrivaled by the virtue of the Red Grade summons.

'Now die!'

The wind howled violently as the murderous intent unveiled themselves.

The assailant was overarching the thorns and vines into a spear, striking into the core of this humanoid and tearing it out for it to be imbrued in blood and sending it to mistress death!

*CRACK!*

*SQUEAK*

A gaze fell upon her. It was an anomalous stare - she could not peer at the expression behind it.

However, it was definitely of deathly essence!

Despite having a split moment to react, it shocked her by such a large margin that she was paralyzed for a moment.

It grasped and crushed the deadly vines that are equally as strong equal to steel itself, yet it was easily undone like cotton made for children.

" I can end you with just my head alone. "

"Come, you shall fear me."
