Chapter 24 - Stellaria's Lesson II

" Since you all are still kiddies, i won't be giving much complicated overview on the entire idea, but let's begin with the probing, "

"- What is a warrior? "

In that instant, majority of the students showed their eagerness to answer that question.

" Brenmen? "

" A warrior is a natural evolution of humans, "

" Warriors are stronger and better humanity, Miss Stellaria. "

" Nice try, but it doesn't only apply to humanity. "

" There are other variants of holo-humans in these day and age, "

" Therefore this is not the answer i'm looking for. "

Stellaria shook her head as this was just a 'society-acceptance' way to comment on the meaning of becoming a warrior.

" How about Ludbex? "

" Miss Stellaria, i believe the warriors are the chosen and peacekeeper of our race, if we don't have them. "

" We would be living in fear and unable to have the life like now. "

" Good answer, but it's still not it, "

" People just don't become a warrior just to be a hero, that's way outdated of an idea - though it apply to some extent. "

Stellaria continued to frown, seemingly displeased with the way these people idolized or have some strange impression about warriors.

Reality is often different when you have experienced it, that's why she is going to share these experiences with them.

' A teacher has to show, and it's up to the students to tell if they able to learn it. '

Except, when Stellaria's judgement were surveying answers from each students in the class, with each disappointment became staggeringly bigger than the last.

" Berndette, what is your impression of a warrior? "

" Nibble funds - teach. "

" Sorry that i asked. "

Stellaria veins start popping up from her forehead as she forgot that Isadora is an abnormality when it comes to arriving the same conclusion as other peoples.

Until, conclusively gaze at the boy that were daydreaming and presumbly finding the lesson tedious.

" Leucognia, answer this question. "

" What's the question? "

" What is a warrior to you? "

" Oh, that's easy. "

Aldritch exclaimed after a yawn, perhaps his confidence stemmed from experience?'

Stellaria slowly regain hope in this darkness of ignorance and perhaps she had set her expection too high upon these bright students.

" A warrior is like playing a game - there is nothing but chasing a goal and be fulfilled in life, am i right? "

"This is..."

Stellaria look intently upon Aldritch with her menacing gaze as if he said something revolutionary.

" This is the worst answer i've gotten yet. "

She facepalmed to herself while looking at all the 21 students that couldn't answer the profession they were going to become.

" Mm, i admit that i was a bit surprised. But you are still juniors, as a teacher i've made a mistake. "

She momentary pause her lecturing tone and gave a shocking remarks that were audible for everyone in this room.

" Warriors are monsters, that's it. "

*Gasp*

' Isn't that a bit of an exaggeration? '

Spoke one of the students, as everyone was clamoring for an answer as to why their teacher would call the aspiring warriors to be so-called 'monsters'.

This can be called a heresy against common beliefs, as if someone had disproven that the earth were the center of the universe,

The mood of prejudice were shared in most of them.

" Before you get angry, let me ask you this. "

" Do you think it's normal that you all can become gods, just because we're able to access worlds? "

" Did any warrior admit that hurting others for the sake of their own gain is common sense? "

" I know this well, because i was one as well. "

"Being a warrior is a path of growing out of that naiveness, you will experience a hardship that no normal person in their lifetime would be able to sympathized with you. "

" Listen up, kiddies. For as long you are a warrior, you are no different from monsters. "

" You lose yourself along the way and inevitably you will change as a person, power and arrogance is tempting force and doesn't discriminate. "

" - That's what others would instilled you, but i have something else to say about it. "

" No matter who you are, or what you became after pursuing this path, "

" You are also a human, like me - never give up on that precious humility you have now, because that's one thing that make warriors no different from you- "

" A monster that you will become and raising these monsters to be human, that's my job as a teacher. That's the answer. "

**

*clap*

*clap*

An unexpected loud and short sound of the applause at the speech, those who were initially disastified with the new homeroom teacher were invigorated by the philosophical answer.

" Quiet, i will begin with the lesson on the information domain. "

Stellaria waved her hand which shushed the entire area, presumbly to be one of her skills which looks incredibly flashy to outsiders.

" Now, as i mentioned before. The Information domain is one of the greatest discovery and progress that humanity had made. "

" To put it simply, we can now create our own worlds using the infinite possibiliites of the Spatium breakthrough - some may be inhabitable, but that's not a concern. "

" While, we cannot inhabit in them for an extended amount of time consecutively, they are still useful and irreplacable for warriors. "

" No matter what class you are, there is a benefit to having access to your own personal realm. "

As she spoke those words, one of the students raised their hand to be given a permission to sate their curious and studious desires.

" Ah, Kedel. If i recall correctly, your class was designated as a close-range tank, right? "

" Yes, miss Stellaria, i have been wondering on why we have these traditions when we could be training in the 'dungeon rifts' instead? "

Stellaria furrowed her eyebrows as the student mentioned a taboo, but nonetheless she nodded in acknowledgement.

" Because, in your dimension there are almost zero percent way to die in there permanantly, for as long it exist. "

" The academy that is sponsored by the Confederations of Nations, is able to retrieve you back in one piece. "

" It is deemed safe and widely recommended to use for all novice warriors - regardless of class, "

And you can use them however you pleased, whether it to create an ecosystem where you can rend and nourish your strength - a place of paradise for building life to assist you or as a summoner. "

Stellaria glance back at Aldritch - whom she had been closely studying for a while.

A realization in which only she knew.

" A summoner is able to summon otherwordly creature to occupy the ranks of their army and bolster their power this way. "

The room was plunged into an ever growing solitude and quietude with everyone pondering upon their choices, the silence was broken by a single clap of a hand.

" And here's the first assignment, i have added an item into your spatial inventory. "

Aldritch upon given instruction went ahead and check his school bag, and it was indeed filled with new mediums.

" Using those material effectively will be the assignment, don't be careless to think carefully on what to use these for, or else you might get a failing grade! "

Stellaria announced the sudden news of a failing grade possibility...

Which made everyone question her capabilities as a teacher, she was treating her students like a guinea pig.

"Well? Do you want to fail or not - just think about it carefully, "

" The lesson is dismissed! "

With that annoucement, everyone was storming out of the class, persumbly going to the Dimension Hatchery of their own.

'Well, i guess i better get going then. '

Aldritch decidely return to his home - merticulously planning on his next course of actions.
