3rd Person's POV
On a top of a tall tree , there sat Kaede who was looking at the stars . Her light brown locks fluttered softly when the gentle breeze passed by . It was a peaceful night for her until...
" Caw ! Caw ! Kaede sama! New mission! Caw ! Head to ( mountain name ) ! Caw ! " Kanamaru, her crow cawed softly as it landed on her shoulder .
Kaede who was stargazing a seconds ago , looked at her crow and patted it on the head . She heaved a little sigh when she stood up from the branch she was sitting at . She took one last look on the sky then jumped down and landed safely on the ground.
Her emotionless ocean blue orbs glowed beautifully under the moonlight. She wore her semi purple kitsune mask that was hanging on her neck .
" Caw ! Follow me ! Caw !" Kanamaru cawed as it started to guide Kaede on her mission . She followed him silently as she got lost in her own thoughts .
The sound of crickets and the hoots of owl was the only sound Kaede can hear throughout the silent night .
Kaede hummed a tone softly as she walked silently and vigilantly. Her humming soon turned into a full singing . Her soft angelic voice attracted the attention of the animal on the forest that she was passing by .
" Where the north wind, meets the sea." She sang as some fireflies surrounded her . " There's a river, full of memory. " She closed her eyes. " Sleep my darling safe and sound, for in this river, all is found. " Kaede danced along with the fireflies .
She returned into humming again when she noticed her crow stopped flying and landed on her shoulder making the fireflies who was surrounding her scatter.
" Are we here Kanamaru?" Kaede asked her crow while looking at it .
Kanamaru nodded at his master then snuggled his head on her cheeks .
She looked at the mountain , an unpleasant feeling can be felt . The feeling made her frown a little . She entered the forest without hesitation.
' Let's go and finish this quickly.' Kaede thought to herself as she walked quietly, never making a single sound . Due to her having a very good sense of hearing , Kaede can hear every faint movements inside the forest .
As she was walking silently , a sudden force made her out of balance . The force made her fall into a black looking swamp. After she got swallowed by the swamp, it closed as if it was not there in the first place .

Kaede's POV
I found myself struggling to breath a little . I opened my eyes and felt myself running out of oxygen. I have a feeling that I am underwater. My vision was pitch black, I can feel something pulling me down which didn't help me any better .
In an attempt to free myself , I unsheathed my sword and struck whatever was pulling me down . I could hear a yell as it slowly let go allowing me to have time to swim up .
The moment I was out of the layers of liquid, I breathed a sigh of relief.
Once I felt a little better , I opened my eyes to see that I am indeed in a body of water , in a lake to be specific.
The question that I first asked myself is how did I get in here ? I was just walking a while ago only to fall into a black looking swamp , somehow ended up in a lake .
My thoughts was soon answered when I sensed something resurfacing not far away from me , letting a loud yell .
" You pesky human ! " I turned to look at a bluish greenish looking demon yelling in anger . " You stabbed my hand with your sword . It hurts . You'll pay for that !" It yelled.
I looked at it for a moment then answered; " Of course, it was supposed to hurt . " I deadpanned. " Are you stupid or something? "
" You little-" it paused as if it realized something. " You , your a demon slayer aren't you ?" It narrowed it's eyes on me .
" Are you also blind ? " I added while letting out a dumbfounded expression, further making it aggrieved. " Obviously, I'm not." I lied, wanting to get under it's skin . ( Things that Mui nii teached me.)
" Don't think of even lying to me !" It yelled , only getting madder and madder from me every second . " And stop trying to swim away !"
" What are you talking about ? I'm not swimming away from you ." I sarcastically stated while swimming away from the demon.
" Yes ,you are ! " It yelled loudly . " No, I'm not " I answered back . " It's probably just the waves ."
" WHAT THE F*CK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT ! THERE'S IS NO WAVES HERE ! DAMMIT I HATE YOU!" It yelled while rasing his hand from the water , a gross green algae wrapped around my arms and legs , preventing me to swim any further . The algae then rose and made a path for the demon as it made itself towards my direction .
The surprising thing was that , it didn't slip on such a slippery alg- you know what? Nevermind.
" Argh !" It yelled in pain because it slipped out of it's own algae. It fell into the water .
" Oh , how careless of you . You should have been more careful ." I sarcastically remarked . " I can't believe you slipped on your own creation ." I added .
" Stop that you punny human !" It yelled as it made his way towards me using it's algae to restrict my movements .
" What's wrong ? Why are you so angry ?" I said while tilting my head .
" Shut up !" It said , finally arrived in front of me taking a good look on my face . " I knew it ! Your a demon slayer ." It grinned , rejoicing its victory .
I raised an eyebrow on his statement then spoke ; " So what did you think of me from the start ? A stone ?" I asked while giving it a judging face . I guess my bullying lesson from Mui nii is putting a good use now .
" Can't you at least shut up for ten seconds , you lousy human being!?" It rubbed it's temple , it seems to have a headache . It groaned as I stayed silent .

It looked at me to see me staring back at him silently watching him with my cold and judgmental eyes .

" Why are you looking at me like that !?" It yelled again to only be answered by another silence . " Don't tell me you suddenly died !"

" What are you talking about ? Didn't you tell me to shut up for ten seconds?" I said . " So your not only blind and stupid but your also forgetful? Oh yeah , I forgot that you were old . Sorry grandpa ." I stated again further making it angrier .
" SHUT THE F*CK UP YOU PUNNY SH*TTY HUMAN . I'LL KILL YOU !" It roared .
Before it can even attack me , I held my sword and stabilized my breathing .
" Eclipse breathing, first form: Solar Lunar Unison." I muttered while doing a spin in the air then released a single horizontal slash, successfully decapitating the demon's head.
It took a moment for the demon to realize that his head was already separated from his body . Once it came back from it's senses , it started yelling at me .
" YOU F*CKING DEMON SLAYER , COME BACK HERE !" The demon kept yelling at me to to come back but I ignored it , continuing to swim up to the surface .
Once I finally got out of the water , I heaved a sigh . Kanamaru then landed on my shoulder and snuggled on my cheek . I put my sword back to it's sheath then touched my wet hair . My demon slayer uniform was created as waterproof and fireproof so it was fine but my hair is not . I washed my hair on the lake and squeezed it to dry.
Just when I was about to go back to my estate , a sudden force made me stumble .
' Really ? Great . What is it this time ? Another demon ?' I thought.
I looked down to see a purple portal starting to suck me . I grabbed into the nearest tree branch, preventing myself to be absorbed by it . It was fine at least until Kanamaru let out a loud shriek , startling me , causing me to let go of the branch . Me and Kanamaru are successfully absorbed by it.

( Still Kaede's POV )
I opened my eyes to see a man with black hair and black eyes staring at me . I took a closer look at him . He wore black clothes , his appearance was disheveled . I sensed that he has no evil intent despite his appearance so I just continued to stare at him . Remember: Don't judge a book by its cover .
We continued to stare at each other for a few moments until he broke the silence by speaking .
" Hey kid, are you alright? " He asked . He then stretched his hand signaling for me to take it . I just realized that I was still lying on the roof because of my fall earlier . I put my small hands on his bigger palm and stood up .
" Kid , do you know that bringing sharp weapons is against the rules ?" He asked while looking at my sword .
I was about to answer him but when I looked at my surroundings, I found an unfamiliar place . I blinked in confusion and looked at the man. Forgetting to answer his previous question, I asked ;
" Where am I ?"
Taisho secret :
Muichiro is forgetful but for some strange reason , he can clearly remember Kaede and likes it when she calls him Big brother or Mui nii. He even teaches her how to make a demon angry .
Kaede and Muichiro were the youngest hashira so they get along very well . Muichiro is secretly proud when he sees Kaede using his teachings to make a demon angry.
When Kaede first saw the man , she thought he was a beggar but she remembered what Shinobu said that " Don't judge a book by its cover."
