"You're German?"
Fang Mo immediately showed a look of interest after hearing the little girl's words. "I'm also German, so we might be from the same hometown."
"...So you're trying to beg for mercy after all?"
As soon as Fang Mo finished speaking, the girl gave him a knowing smile and shook her head. "It's no use, even if you try to get close."
"Beg for mercy? Me?"
Fang Mo chuckled. "Girl, you've got it all wrong. I was just thinking that we share the same noble blood, and I wouldn't want to see you—"
"Kill them, Berserker!"
Before Fang Mo could finish, the little girl suddenly raised her hand and gave the command.
"Roar!"
The massive figure behind her let out a deafening roar, blowing away the thick fog and revealing his terrifying form.
He was a giant Servant, over two meters tall, with a muscular, bare chest that looked as though it had been forged from steel. His black hair flowed wildly, and his blood-red eyes radiated savagery. Just looking at him could send chills down anyone's spine.
In his hand, he held a massive stone axe, as large as a door.
He wasn't just a Servant; he was a terrifying humanoid beast.
"This..."
Rin Tohsaka and Shirou Emiya both flinched, their pupils contracting at the sight of Berserker's monstrous form.
"RAAARGH!"
Without hesitation, Berserker, like a wild beast, leaped forward, swinging his gigantic axe toward the group with ferocious power.
"Shirou! Get out of the way!"
Saber, who had been in a combat-ready stance from the beginning, rushed forward without a second thought to protect her Master.
But Berserker's strength was overwhelming.
With a loud "boom," the clash between weapons sent a powerful shockwave that knocked Shirou off his feet.
At the same time, the ground beneath Saber shattered, and her posture faltered as she let out a painful grunt. She had clearly underestimated her opponent's terrifying power.
"A direct confrontation and she's no match... What *is* that thing?"
Rin was shaken by the scene and quickly turned to Fang Mo. "Archer! Do something with your unbeatable Noble Phantasm!"
"But the girl is German," Fang Mo replied, feigning a look of deep conflict. "And she's a cute white-haired loli..."
"She's trying to kill us!"
Rin was about to lose it. "If you can't bring yourself to harm her, at least take down her Servant! I doubt he's German!"
"You have a point."
Hearing Rin's reasoning, Fang Mo nodded as if convinced.
"Then hurry up!"
Rin couldn't hold back her frustration any longer and shouted at him.
"Alright, alright." Fang Mo lazily waved his hand. "Armor-piercing rounds loaded, KWK36 88mm gun, ready to fire..."
As Fang Mo spoke, a series of ripples appeared behind him in the air, as though a finger had lightly touched the surface of water. Purple-black light flickered, and several metal barrels slowly emerged from the void, all aimed at Berserker.
"Hmm?"
The little girl noticed and hesitated for a moment. "What... is that?"
"Times have changed, great hero," Fang Mo calmly adjusted his black military cap and said coolly, "Soldiers, show him the power of a modern army."
"No!"
The girl snapped out of her confusion and quickly shouted, "Berserker, dodge!"
"Fire."
The barrels lit up with a blinding flash, like hellfire blooming across the sky. Saber had already retreated thanks to her instincts, but Berserker, with his dulled senses, reacted too slowly. A series of explosions engulfed him.
"Berserker!"
The girl screamed in alarm.
"RAAARGH!"
Despite being blasted backward, Berserker let out another enraged roar, his monstrous resilience keeping him on his feet.
"What...?"
Rin's face paled as she watched. She had done her research. "Not even repeated shots from Tiger tanks can take down this monster?"
"Are you scared?"
Fang Mo suddenly turned his head and stared eerily at Rin.
"I..."
Rin wanted to argue, but the words caught in her throat. This Berserker was indeed terrifying. It felt like he could take on all six other Servants by himself, with overwhelming strength and endurance.
As Rin's mind raced with worry, she suddenly felt a hand on her head. Fang Mo's voice followed.
"I've always liked a saying from that country: 'All fear stems from insufficient firepower.'"
"…What?"
Rin blinked in confusion.
"Caliber, range, power, scale, quantity, blast radius." Fang Mo extended a finger and, in a chillingly calm voice, said, "Rin, remember this: quantity leads to quality. Now watch closely. This is war."
With that, the space behind Fang Mo trembled violently.
It was as though an invisible force had swept across the sky.
The entire heavens turned a deep purple, and what were once scattered ripples now formed a dense sea, merging into a fog-like mist.
From within the mist, the sound of war echoed.
The roar of planes, the rumble of engines, the tearing of the earth by tank treads, anti-aircraft fire streaking through the sky. The acrid stench of gunpowder filled the air, soon joined by the metallic scent of blood.
This was the sound of war.
"What is this?"
Rin was the first to realize something was very wrong. The scale of the battlefield had suddenly grown out of control. A deep sense of unease rose in her chest. "Wait—"
But before she could finish her sentence, the sound of a plane engine roared from above. One bomber after another emerged from the mist, quickly soaring into the skies over Fuyuki City.
Soon after, countless gun barrels appeared.
Anti-aircraft guns, tank cannons, artillery, even machine guns.
"…What?"
Not just Rin's side, but even the little girl seemed stunned by the sight.
But Fang Mo had no intention of going easy on her. In war, there were no favorites.
"Attack."
With a single word, the once-dark street was instantly illuminated by a barrage of gunfire. Hundreds of machine guns spat fire, cannons roared, and a rain of armor-piercing shells, high-explosive rounds, and incendiary bombs fell upon Berserker, creating an earth-shattering explosion that seemed never-ending.
More and more barrels appeared from the mist, joining the assault.
While a single shell might not deal much damage to a Servant, when hundreds of tanks and guns fired in unison, even a monster like Berserker couldn't move. He was completely pinned down.
"This is..."
Saber watched the endless barrage in stunned silence.
She glanced at her invisible sword, wondering if even she could survive such an onslaught. But the answer was clear—there was no way.
If this were a real military force, she might be able to evade the attacks with her high mobility. But since these were manifestations of Noble Phantasms, there was no evading them. The attacks came from everywhere, and the Archer class' natural ability to adjust aim made it impossible to dodge.
"Oh, Rin," Fang Mo suddenly remembered something and slapped his forehead. "Is there a nearby sea? A river would do too."
"What do you plan to do?"
Rin's heart skipped a beat.
"I was thinking of summoning a couple of cruisers. If not, I can pull out an aircraft carrier, though it's a bit heavy on the mana consumption."
"Stop messing around!"
Rin snapped back to reality. She was starting to realize that her summoned Servant was far too reckless. They hadn't even dealt with the school destruction yet, and if Fang Mo went all out, the entire city of Fuyuki could be doomed.
"The enemy Servant is already being suppressed."
Rin quickly turned her attention to the little girl in the distance. "Let's deal with the Master... Saber!"
"I understand!"
Saber, ever the diligent warrior, raised her sword and prepared to strike at the girl.
"Berserker..."
Panicking, the girl quickly raised her hand and shouted, "Come back to me!"
With a flash of Command Seal light, Berserker vanished from the center of the explosion and reappeared at the girl's side.
As the smoke from the battle began to clear, everyone saw Berserker standing there, bloodied and tattered, motionless like a lifeless statue.
"Huh?"
Rin's eyes lit up. "Is it over?"
"Probably not."
Fang Mo recalled some lore about this Berserker, a version of the Greek hero Heracles, who had the "Twelve Labors" skill, allowing him to revive twelve times. Each time he died, he needed to be killed in a different way. It was no easy task to defeat him.
And just as Fang Mo predicted, Berserker's body began to change.
His injuries quickly healed as if time had reversed, and in an instant, he was restored to full health. He let out another deafening roar: "RAAARGH!"
"See? Told you."
Fang Mo turned and calmly ordered, "Increase the firepower, keep it going."
This time, things escalated. A massive barrel behind Fang Mo let out a thunderous boom, and a terrifying red beam of light shot toward Berserker.
"Protect me, Berserker!"
The terrifying attack sent waves of death crashing over the little girl, causing her to cry out in fear.
"ROAR!"
Berserker, loyal to the end, leapt up to intercept the shell. Rather than flee, he chose to meet the blast head-on, determined to protect his Master.
A massive explosion followed.
Berserker was blown to pieces, his upper body smoking as it crashed into the ground. He was well and truly dead.
"Is it over?"
Shirou couldn't help but ask.
"No."
Rin frowned, sensing something was off. Almost immediately, Berserker's remains began to twitch, his body regenerating at an alarming speed. Soon, he was ready to rise again.
"Initiate airstrikes."
Fang Mo snapped his fingers.
The bombers circling above received the command and began diving toward the ground, dropping bomb after bomb. In an instant, the entire street was drenched in fire and explosions.
Especially Berserker, who was once again consumed by the blasts.
"B-Berserker..."
Seeing this, the little girl finally took a step back. She hadn't expected her most trusted trump card to be overwhelmed so thoroughly.
"Don't move."
Before she could react, a cold blade was pressed against her neck.
She turned her head and saw Saber, who had silently made her way to the girl's side. Saber had been waiting for the right moment to strike, and the girl had let her guard down while focusing on Berserker.
"Move, and I will end you," Saber warned. However, instead of striking immediately, she began guiding the girl back toward her Master. "Come with me."
As Saber escorted the girl, Fang Mo smiled at her and said, "Your Berserker must be Heracles, right?"
The question caused the girl's expression to change.
"How did you figure it out?" Rin, curious, asked Fang Mo.
"Never underestimate my German intelligence network," Fang Mo said with a smirk. He then turned back to the little girl and gave her a devilish grin. "Since we're both Germans, I'll give you a chance."
With that, Fang Mo tossed a die toward her.
"…This?"
The girl instinctively caught the die and looked at Fang Mo in confusion.
"God doesn't play dice, but I do," Fang Mo said with a grin. "I won't kill you since you're German, but I can't say the same for your Berserker. Roll the die, and let's see what fate decides for him."
"I..."
The girl glanced around, realizing that escape was impossible. With two Servants and two Masters watching her, she had no choice but to roll the die.
The die landed on the ground, showing five dots.
"Hmm, five?"
Fang Mo glanced down at the die and nodded in satisfaction. The girl let out a sigh of relief, but Fang Mo's next words sent chills down her spine.
"Alright... kill him five times."
