If Fang Mo remembered correctly.
Actually, Pochi was also quite an unlucky character in the original work.
Because Pochi was one of the few who, shortly after making an appearance, directly encountered the bald great demon king. When Pochi confronted Saitama, he was immediately knocked down with a single punch.
But you could say Pochi was also lucky.
After the battle between the Monster Association and the heroes, almost all the monsters were wiped out. Only Pochi and Black Sperm survived. Eventually, Saitama took Pochi home as a pet dog, thus getting close to the most powerful character in the original series.
However, now...
Fang Mo glanced at the other party. Although Pochi's fur was messy, it was not injured, indicating that it hadn't encountered Saitama.
So, was it provoked by someone else?
Fang Mo thought for a moment but couldn't recall any related plot. After all, Yusuke Murata often revised the same plot when drawing the One Punch Man remake, making it hard for Fang Mo to remember what actually happened.
However, it was clear that Pochi was indeed very agitated, as if something had provoked it.
Fang Mo felt that Pochi seemed to be looking for someone and, upon seeing him, mistakenly thought he was the target and launched an attack.
Facing the energy cannon that filled the entire passageway, Fang Mo showed no fear. He simply raised a finger toward Pochi, and in the next second, endless white light began to gather at his fingertip.
A pure white light ball quickly formed and flew forward. During its flight, it rapidly expanded, turning the entire passage into powder. The adjacent passages were also reduced to rubble.
Pochi's energy cannon hit the light ball and disappeared without causing a ripple, like a drop of water in the ocean. Pochi, having never seen such a situation, was momentarily stunned.
But despite the surprise, the light ball did not stop.
Soon, the light ball expanded to an unimaginable size, no longer resembling a sphere but rather a sea of pure light.
When Pochi tried to escape, it was clearly too late. The light ball, like a massive meteor, crushed forward and exploded instantly. With a loud bang, everything in the underground world turned to dust.
It was clear that the divine power from Ego was not something mortal beings could resist.
The maze-like surrounding terrain disappeared; numerous layers of floor and partition walls evaporated. The terrifying energy even lifted the Monster Association's dome, visible from several kilometers away as a dazzling white light shot into the sky.
But it wasn't over.
The violent energy brought endless destruction.
Even distant passages collapsed and shattered in the terrible vibrations, causing most of Z City to tremble slightly.
If there were satellite images, one would see a giant smoking crater suddenly appear in the abandoned area of Z City.
As for Pochi...
It had already collapsed at the center of the crater.
Despite also shooting light balls, Fang Mo's output of the Sword of Light was too outrageous, capable of blasting a huge hole in a planet when serious, clearly not something Pochi could match.
Even though Fang Mo had held back, Pochi was still smoking, lying belly-up in the middle of the rubble, with all its fur scorched and its tongue hanging out, completely unconscious.
Seeing this, Fang Mo walked over to Pochi.
After a brief examination and confirming it was not dead, Fang Mo took out the Healing Blade and slashed it a few times. Several different regeneration effects took effect simultaneously, and Pochi soon woke up.
Perhaps the beating was too severe, Pochi was confused upon waking up, shaking its body like a dog. But it quickly noticed Fang Mo at its feet.
"Woof… woof!?"
This made Pochi's fur stand up, its tail tucked between its legs, and its ears folded back like airplane ears.
Even as a beast, it felt a primal fear at that moment.
It was originally just a pet dog but had been inexplicably raised too large, making it feel like it was the most powerful, becoming an arrogant dragon-level monster.
But after being beaten, it seemed to realize it wasn't the strongest.
"Hmm, much more obedient after a beating."
Unlike Pochi's nervousness, Fang Mo was quite satisfied. He summoned Steve to approach Pochi, intending to feed it some bones to tame it.
Unexpectedly, Pochi seemed to see Steve and became uneasy, growling softly in warning. But Fang Mo ignored Pochi's warning.
In the next second, Pochi suddenly turned and ran away.
"Damn! Trying to run!?"
Seeing this, Fang Mo was displeased. This dog was unexpectedly disobedient... Wasn't it supposed to become obedient after Saitama punched it in the original?
"Forget it, I'll use my method to tame it."
With this thought, Fang Mo pulled out an Ender Giant Sword. Before Pochi ran far, Fang Mo raised his hand and spread his fingers, "Bansho Ten'in!"
Pochi, among the dragon-level monsters, was one of the strongest. It was about to leave the crater in two leaps, no longer wanting to stay with the Monster Association after being beaten.
But at that moment, it felt a strong suction from behind.
Pochi's leaping body was pulled back to the ground and dragged backward despite its struggles. It even spat out a few more light balls in desperation, but the dust settled, and the terrifying humanoid monster stood unharmed.
"Woof woof…"
Pochi was genuinely panicked, not knowing what to do, struggling and howling, fearing it might be eaten.
However, contrary to Pochi's expectations, Fang Mo didn't eat it. Instead, he approached with a stick-like object, stroking Pochi up and down.
"?"
Pochi was confused but still shivering with fear. It didn't understand why this blocky creature in front of it kept stroking it with a stick... Could it be a bone?
Strangely, as soon as Pochi thought of a bone, it started drooling.
Simultaneously, a large number of red heart-shaped particles appeared above its head. Suddenly, Pochi was no longer afraid, not understanding the feeling but feeling it was good to stay with Fang Mo.
Thinking this, Pochi became happy.
"Pant… pant…" It stuck out its tongue, wagging its tail like a fan, trying to show affection to its master.
"Already tamed?"
Seeing this, Fang Mo understood. He tossed the Ender Giant Sword on the ground: "This will be your kennel from now on, behave and go in."
"?"
Pochi tilted its head, seemingly thinking about Fang Mo's words.
But its intelligence was higher than a normal dog's, soon sniffing the Ender Giant Sword and pawing at it. A black light flashed, and it disappeared into the sword like a Pokémon voluntarily entering a Poké Ball.
After sealing... or housing the dragon-level monster Pochi, the appearance of the Ender Giant Sword changed.
The originally dark green blade now had white energy arcs, gradually turning black like Pochi's body. The hilt transformed, with irregular tooth-like spikes pointing towards the blade and six gem-like decorations resembling Pochi's eyes. Occasionally, energy arcs flashed across the sword, looking rather nice.
Fang Mo picked up the sword and swung it into the air.
A giant hot cannonball flew into the sky.
"Hmm... not bad." Fang Mo nodded in satisfaction. Although its power wasn't immense, who doesn't love having a tamed dog?
Thinking this, Fang Mo summoned Pochi from the sword again.
"Woof?"
Pochi reappeared, confused, looking down at Fang Mo, not understanding why it was released.
"Lower your head, let me ride you."
Fang Mo commanded.
"Woof!"
Pochi, now tamed, was obedient, immediately lying down with its tail wagging, blowing away rubble and dust, thinking it was playing with its master.
Fang Mo didn't hesitate.
He quickly mounted Pochi's neck.
Pochi's fur was surprisingly comfortable, soft and thick like the finest fur. If it wasn't his pet, Fang Mo would have considered making a fur coat out of its pelt for Xiao Yao.
He had heard that girls from East liked such things, though he wasn't sure if it was true.
"Woof! Woof woof!"
Feeling Fang Mo riding it, Pochi was evidently happy, wagging its tail and looking around, awaiting orders.
"Hmm…"
Riding Pochi, Fang Mo pondered for a moment before waving his hand: "Let's go, attack back!"
"?"
Pochi was puzzled, instinctively turning to look at Fang Mo.
"Didn't understand?"
Fang Mo rephrased: "Go back to where you were. There are many of your kind inside. Lead me to kill them all. Don't worry, you won't be scolded because you're a dog."
"Woof!"
Understanding, Pochi happily charged down a passage.
After running for a short distance, two shadows suddenly appeared ahead, followed by a barrage of shuriken, engulfing Pochi in flames.
The shadows paused.
"So, this dog has rebelled?"
One man, with hair like burning flames, spoke while the other, covered in strange patterns, had long hair waving in the wind.
"Beasts are beasts. We'll just kill it."
The patterned man sneered: "It's strong but not fast. No one can match our speed…"
Before he could finish, a calm voice came from the smoke.
"The world."
The two men were startled, and in the next second, their perspective began to spin.
As their vision faded to black, their last sight was their bodies exploding and a distant voice.
"What idiots, comparing speed with time stop…"
Thus, Fang Mo punched to death the dragon-level monsters, Gale Wind and Hellfire Flame, ranked just below Gouketsu.
They were so weak that Fang Mo didn't even bother to speak, finishing the fight in under three seconds. Pochi, still recovering, was stunned by the two bodies before sniffing them.
"Stop sniffing, let's go."
Fang Mo lightly tapped Pochi's head.
Obediently, Pochi resumed running.
However, after a while, as Pochi turned in a direction, a system prompt inexplicably sounded in Fang Mo's mind.

[System prompt: Overeating module downloading.]
"…Huh?"
Fang Mo was utterly baffled.
