Chereads / Reborn with Steve Stand / Chapter 57 - Chapter 56

Chapter 57 - Chapter 56

Fang Mo's gaze fell upon the Void Ring nestled in the alchemy bag, and an instant bold idea sprouted in his mind.

The Void Ring, an extraordinary item from the Equivalent Exchange mod, possessed a remarkable ability. It could absorb large quantities of dropped items and reconstruct materials, transforming trash into valuable resources like gold ingots and diamonds.

However, since Fang Mo hadn't loaded the mod, the concept of "EMC value" didn't exist in his world. Thus, the potential of the Void Ring remained untapped, reducing it to a mere item capable of absorbing items and teleporting which he could do with his Ender Hand Force Field.

At first, Fang Mo wanted to keep the ring for later, but he changed his mind. The Equivalent Exchange mod could make him really strong, but he already had everything he needed to be incredibly powerful. So, what would be the point of keeping the ring?

Instead, Fang Mo decided to use it for real-world experiments. He summoned Steve to retrieve the Void Ring from the alchemy bag and handed it over to him.

Grasping the Void Ring, a white light flashed, revealing a beautiful and enigmatic ring in Fang Mo's palm.

Examining the ring closely, he observed its lead-gray color and ancient, faint purple engravings. At its center lay an embedded black gemstone, seemingly capable of absorbing all light, like a miniature black hole.

The ring exuded an unimaginable power. Merely holding it felt as if all the matter in the world had converged into Fang Mo's hand, surpassing any reasonable limit of density.

Activating his Ender Hand Force Field, Fang Mo was surprised to see the Void Ring respond. Its engravings glowed, unleashing a terrifying suction force that rapidly weakened his Ender Hand Force Field.

The gemstone grew even more profound, resembling a living black hole devouring everything around it. The purple halo of the Ender Hand Force Field encircled it, resembling the accretion disk of a black hole.

In that moment, a macabre and haunting beauty enveloped Fang Mo as he felt a connection with the ring. A peculiar sensation of immense power inexplicably appeared within his mind.

Instinctively, Fang Mo attempted to activate this power.

"Boom!"

Visible ripples radiated outward, forming an expanding spherical force field that tore apart and shattered everything in his living room. Within seconds, his entire house exploded, leaving behind a devastating crater.

Bewildered, Fang Mo sat amidst the debris, surveying the ruin that had replaced his home.

Stunned, he gazed down at the Void Ring clutched in his hand.

"Is this still the Void Ring?" Fang Mo couldn't help but feel incredulity and absurdity. "Damn, is this a Rinnegan Ring? Even Pain would be impressed."

Fortunately, Fang Mo had prudently chosen an isolated location for his house. Otherwise, this incident would have undoubtedly caused a tremendous uproar.

However, this experience provided Fang Mo with some understanding of the Void Ring's capabilities.

The Void Ring was synthesized from the Gem of Eternal Density, Red Matter, and the Black Hole Band. While the Gem of Eternal Density was associated with the concept of Aether, the Void Ring focused on density rather than Aether.

This led Fang Mo to speculate that the ring contained Aether condensed to a critical density. Considering that Aether represents space and ultra-high-density space implies infinite spacetime curvature, combined with the density approaching infinity, the Red Matter's ability to rupture the spacetime continuum, and the gravitational properties of the Black Hole Band, Fang Mo suspected that the Void Ring possessed a power akin to that of a black hole—the ability to manipulate gravity.

(TL: Fr? I think author just chatting sht here.)

Contemplating the Void Ring in his hand, Fang Mo thought about various characters from movies, anime, games, and novels. Soon, he organized his thoughts.

He adorned the Void Ring and raised his hand, aiming it at a tree along the roadside. Numerous root systems were effortlessly torn apart, and the ground cracked as the massive tree hurtled toward Fang Mo at high speed.

Commanding a thought, Fang Mo summoned a formidable force field that clashed with the airborne tree. In an instant, the giant tree disintegrated into countless fragments, dispersed by the force field's power.

But Fang Mo's exploration didn't cease there.

His gaze shifted toward a nearby street.

In the next second, a black light flashed, and Fang Mo's figure disappeared from its original position, reappearing directly on the street.

The sudden appearance startled nearby birds, which fluttered their wings in preparation for flight. Fang Mo raised his hand, catching a hapless bird mid-air, its pitiful cry echoing through the air.

Observing the frightened bird in his grasp, Fang Mo nodded instinctively, then released it, allowing the creature to take flight.

The Void Ring truly deserved its status as a significant item of Equivalent Exchange. Its strength was staggering, capable of capturing living beings—a power surpassing that of the Ender Hand Force Field. Fang Mo couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction.

However, just as Fang Mo prepared to continue testing the Void Ring's capabilities, his phone rang from within his pocket. Retrieving the device, he noticed an incoming call from Nick Fury and promptly answered.

"Have you prepared the $9.9 billion?" Fang Mo replied with a jest, "I've prepared our Family's Sequence Potion for you. Three gulps of the potion, and I guarantee you'll die immediately without the chance for revival..."

"Mr. Fang Mo, Director Fury is in critical condition!" Agent Coulson's anxious voice reached Fang Mo's ears unexpectedly. "S.H.I.E.L.D.'s base has come under sudden attack, and the enemy has stolen the Tesseract!"

"What in the world?" Fang Mo exclaimed, utterly taken aback.

"... Is he dead?"
