Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Picking the Sun, Moon, and Stars for You

"Hmph!"

Jiann Xinzhu scoffed coldly, shook her head, and looked at Zhao Xie, "It seems in your eyes, money is more important than me! All those things you did before and all those sweet words should be given to other girls, I don't need them!"

"Xinzhu, it's not what you think..."

Zhao Xie panicked and hurriedly tried to explain, but seeing Jiann Xinzhu no longer cared about him, his face gradually darkened and his gaze at Lin Tian carried a murderous intent.

As for this, Lin Tian acted as if he hadn't seen it, and continued to say, "You don't need to rush to explain! Now Sister Jiann finally sees your true colors, actually using money to measure Sister Jiann... Indeed, all you care about is money!"

"You, you... shut up! Poor thing, don't talk nonsense!"

"Kid, just you wait, I'll cripple you one day!"

Zhao Xie trembled with rage, pointing at Lin Tian, unable to refute, and seeing Jiann Xinzhu's disappointed and increasingly indifferent expression, he knew staying any longer would only make him lose more face, so he could only throw down harsh words and flee in panic.

Watching Zhao Xie leave in defeat, Lin Tian shouted after him, "That issue and problem of yours, you must have sought medical help everywhere before, right? I can solve it for you! When you need it, come and beg me, if I feel like it, I'll cure you completely!"

Jiann Xinzhu saw Zhao Xie leaving and obviously breathed a sigh of relief, as if she had gotten rid of a very troublesome matter, and glanced at Lin Tian, saying, "Enough, stop talking nonsense!"

Her cherry lips slightly parted, naturally carrying a petulant charm, her smile and every frown filled with allure.

Beautiful! So beautiful it made one's soul tremble!

Lin Tian inwardly praised, but his expression remained unchanged, he shook his head earnestly and said, "I'm not talking nonsense! Everything I just said was true! Zhao Xie had been pestering you before, hadn't he? This kind of man, like a stallion, runs around flirting everywhere. You're better off not bothering with him!"

"Not serious at all!"

Jiann Xinzhu was noncommittal about Lin Tian's words, she shook her head with a smile and said, "Now I'm calling a doctor over to check on you, and if there's nothing wrong, you can be discharged. Otherwise, lying here all day, you might start to mold! Plus, Sister Jiann still owes you ten yuan for emotional damages!"

By the end, Jiann Xinzhu could not help but giggle.

Meanwhile, Jiann Xinzhu was surprised to find that the young man before her seemed completely different from before; he was timid back then but now appeared confident, his words sharp, unafraid of power.

Most importantly, that level of calm and composure completely unfitting his age!

Soon Doctor Yi, Lin Tian's attending physician, arrived and took Lin Tian for a comprehensive examination.

To Doctor Yi's amazement, Lin Tian, who had been severely injured just a few days ago to the point of nearly losing his life, had completely recovered from his injuries and was even healthier and more vibrant than an average person.

Although he had improved significantly through surgery and treatment over the past few days, he previously had multiple minor injuries and ailments all over his body that would normally require long-term care to recover from quickly.

Under normal circumstances, Lin Tian would still need a few more days of observation before he could be discharged, but given his current condition, he could be discharged early.

Though full of perplexity, Doctor Yi did not ask for an explanation and immediately proceeded with Lin Tian's discharge procedures.

Following Jiann Xinzhu out of the hospital, facing the chilly air outside, Lin Tian's mind became particularly clear as he looked up at the heavy sky, thoughts soaring.

"Everything starts anew from here, until I return to the Nine Heavens Continent, back to the Immortal Domain!"

After leaving the hospital, he got into Jiann Xinzhu's Audi Q7 and headed back to the hotel.

"It's okay, you don't have to make it difficult, I will leave once we get back to the hotel!"

In the car, Lin Tian glanced at Jiann Xinzhu, who was driving, and said.

"There's nothing difficult about it!"

Jiann Xinzhu replied with a smile, shaking her head.

Nodding, Lin Tian suddenly furrowed his brow when he shockingly found that a thread of energy had appeared within him and was continuously circulating through his meridians.

This thread of energy was very weak, so feeble it was almost negligible.

Yet, at that moment, Lin Tian truly felt it moving inside him, constantly cleansing his physique, and the various internal injuries were slowly healing at an almost imperceptible speed.

"What is this energy, and where does it come from?"

Lin Tian wondered, but without any cultivation, he was clueless and unable to commence an investigation.

Soon, they arrived at the Yongjia Hotel, and Lin Tian could only give up on investigating further.

Yongjia Hotel only had five levels, but it covered a vast area and was impressively grand.

Following Jiann Xinzhu into the hotel, Lin Tian felt the unusual looks from people around him; many were acquaintances with whom he had become slightly familiar during his half-month of holiday work. However, they were merely work acquaintances, and since his hospitalization, these people had become strangers to him.

Lin Tian ignored these glances and went up to the second-floor office with Jiann Xinzhu. After sitting down, Jiann Xinzhu said, "Since your injuries have healed, what follows is to process your resignation letter. Given what happened, it's not suitable for you to stay here anymore. I've done my best."

Hearing this, Lin Tian nodded. Jiann Xinzhu had indeed taken good care of him. Coming back with her, he knew it was mostly to be dismissed, and even if Jiann Xinzhu didn't dismiss him, he would leave anyway since cultivation was fundamental for a cultivator.

Moreover, on this trip back to the hotel, he had already come to terms with it and immediately said, "I understand, I have dragged you into this mess!"

"It's okay! I am also responsible for this matter!"

Jiann Xinzhu warmly smiled, "Alright, if there's anything you need in the future, just call Sister Jiann, and if I can help, I certainly won't refuse!" After saying this, Jiann Xinzhu handed Lin Tian her business card.

"Sister Jiann has already been a great help! I shall remember this kindness forever!"

Not wanting to disregard her kindness, Lin Tian took the business card with a solemn expression and looked at Jiann Xinzhu, saying, "If there is ever any difficulty, you can come to find me at Bin City Meiling High School, even if it's to 'Pick Stars and Moon,' I will get them for Sister Jiann!"

Watching the confidently departing young man, Jiann Xinzhu's face showed relief but she also shook her head silently.

"Pick Stars and Moon? You'd bring them to me?

Still too young and rash!"

As soon as Lin Tian left, a head peeked into the office. Seeing no one else there, Jiann Xinzhu's close friend, Su Yingxue, walked in with an indignant face and snorted, "Hmph, really an ignorant guy, talking about stars and moons! Just a poor student, yet so arrogantly boasting! If it wasn't for your soft heart, Xinzhu, he wouldn't have been let in, and this incident wouldn't have happened. Once he leaves school and enters society, he'll understand the harshness of reality! Moreover, because of him, you had to give up actual control of the sales department, and after this incident, it's nearly impossible for you to return to the hotel headquarters! If he knew about it, would he feel guilty?"

"Okay, Yingxue, everyone has their youthful impetuous moments. This matter was partly my oversight, and it's not entirely his fault!"

Jiann Xinzhu shook her head, pulled her friend to sit, and tried to console her. However, her expression revealed a trace of sadness.

Lin Tian, of course, was unaware of Jiann Zhuxin and Su Yingxue's conversation. Even if he were to know, he would not care too much. As long as he had time, picking stars and refining them were just effortlessly within his grasp. The promise of a generation of Immortal Venerable was no joke.
