Flowers till eyes could stretch, the warm sunshine gleaming warm their head, and soft chilly breeze breathing life to her. Agatha ran through the field like an unleashed horse tasting freedom for the first time in her life.
"Be careful," Xavier warned, seeing her getting exceptionally close to the edge. Agatha just beamed, holding her hat with one hand to stop it from getting blown away by the wind.
The warm sun was better than those cold castle walls, casting depressing shadows in its corridor. The suffocating air, choking her.
Xavier saw the joy in her eyes for the first time in years. Before she never left the bed-chamber, he always thought she was more of an indoor person but he was wrong. She was like a wild horse, who wanted to be free, racing against the wind. A stable was nothing but a prison to them.
"Let me take you somewhere," Xavier called her, grinning like a Cheshire cat.
Agatha forgot all the thoughts that were drowning her away, like a child she excitedly went to him and was curious to see more of the outside.
Xavier took her to the middle of the field where the blue roses were in full bloom. Agatha gasped seeing the sapphire-like blooms covering the field. Her smile got bigger and brighter. She almost hopped towards the thorny shrubs, when Xavier grabbed her arm pulling her back into his embrace.
"Be careful. There are thorns." Xavier pointed out, putting his arms around her waist.
Agatha didn't argue, her face with a tint of redness, maybe from running around or from the closeness between them. Xavier carefully picked up one of the closest blooms and presented it to her; whilst still holding her.
"Here. It matches your dress." He commented, pinning the flower in her hat.
Agatha touched her hat to feel the rose. "Thank you." She smiled politely and fiddled to meet his gaze, while her cheeks started to heat as her heart beat against her ribs.
Xavier went silent, scanning her face and every little bit of reaction. The way she averted her gaze, still taking peeks from time to time. Her cheeks flushed red, biting her lips after time she peeks at him. The way she wasn't pushing him away and her body leaning towards him. Strange for someone who hates him.
"We shall go back for lunch." Xavier changed the topic, withdrawing his hand from her back and started walking towards the carriage.
Agatha stood her, her face turned disappointed at him leaving like that. How can he leave like that and call himself a man? At least a kiss!
Agatha shook her head, surprised at her thoughts. What kind of improper thoughts she was having?
'Agatha! You are still a lady! How can you have such improper thoughts for your killer!' She reminded herself, taking hastened speed towards the carriage.
'But he is also your husband!' She thought, astounded by her mind's wicked thinking. It must be the devil's advocate. She mustn't listen to them! Yes! In no way she will think like that for him!
Agatha took a deep breath, nodding to her own thoughts, and joined him inside the carriage. Xavier picked up one of the books inside, busying himself with reading. While Agatha tried to divert herself from the wicked thoughts she was having. During the journey, they remained quiet.
Agatha was first to rush out to escape from the carriage with hurried steps. Trying to keep herself calm, and her quickened heartbeat. Agatha was sure she had a heart problem, it always beat crazily at the strangest moment. She went inside their bed-chamber, pacing up and down the room trying to not think anything and calm herself.
Xavier saw her strange behaviour from the gap between the door and chuckled softly, before putting up a straight face and knocking on the door.
"Lunch is ready," Xavier stated, standing by the door.
Agatha stopped at her pace to take a glance at him. Suddenly, every logic she had just left her mind as the urge to go kiss the man in front of her took her. Like an instinct, she rushed up to him and without any warning she kissed him. Her lips moved, as her tongue slipped into his mouth savouring his taste. As if she was stuck in a desert for days and suddenly she was in the oasis, quenching her thirst.
Xavier's lips curved into a smirk, seeing her acting on her instinct without holding back. His hand slowly closed the door behind him before he leaned forward to give her better access, as he held her from the back and pulled her closer. He slowly slipped his tongue into her mouth, as their lips moved.
Xavier picked her up from the ground, as they continued kissing with Agatha instinctively crossing her legs around his waist. He laid her down on the bed, pulling himself away to give her some moments to breathe.
Agatha's face was reddened, with a quickened breath. She brushed away the hat, her eyes looking at the man standing in front of her. She wants him! Right now and then! Every part of him.
Without wasting a second, she got up, pinning her lips and his and devouring them. Her arms wrapping around his neck, she laid back down on the bed with Xavier over her, kissing her back furiously. While his hand explored her body. Agatha let out a moan as his hands cupped one of her breasts.
"You sure about this." Xavier withdrew from the kiss and looked into her eyes…
For a second or two, Agatha didn't answer, as realization hit her. Her teeth dug into the already swollen lips, her face red as a tomato. As soon as Xavier was about to pull his hand away from her breast and withdrew, Agatha clasped onto his shirt, and with a shy voice, she spoke, just loud enough for him to hear, "I…am."
