A Plan To Escape~
The next day, Elizabeth laid on her bed looking sad and depressed. She had dark eyes from the non stop sobbing she did all through the night. She remembered tossing in her bed trying to ease her pain and worries inorder to fall asleep,but she couldn't even close her eyes for she could still here voices and wisphers at the door of her chamber.
The wisphers were about the queen's sons that the king ordered to be taken away and how the queen tried begging the king to renounce his order but the king ordered for them to go to their chambers,their maid's had to insist for them to leave before the king's becomes more provoked than he already was.
Elizabeth couldn't help but imagine her self in their shoes,she imagined the pain of losing her first child and she imagined the dreadful fate of her unborn son.
After meeting the seer the previous night,she felt her heart ache and the feeling of being powerless overwhelmed her. Which mother would feel normal after discovering that her unborn and only child will be killed immediately after delivery?
The door to the room opened and some maid's walked in along with Kira who was leading them into the room. The maid's bowed their head to Elizabeth who just remained still on her bed,just lost in thoughts.
"My queen you need to wake up to have your bathe" Kira bowed as well. She remembered everything that had happened the previous night. She felt like wise,a deep sadness for the queen but she couldn't doing anything,it was better for one of them to be strong inorder to be able to help the other.
All through the day, Elizabeth was gloomy and quiet. The palace on it own was quite and the sound of moving leaves and the warm summer breeze blew. It was a one of the many days in the palace where the palace become the last place anyone would want to be in.
Elizabeth sat beside the fancy water fall in the palace garden which reminded her of her favorite spot at her father's mansion. She loves the sounds of nature and beauty of nature and it was a source of peace to her.
Elizabeth tried not to cry or sob,she bit her lower lips tight enough to release blood. She felt so unfortunate to be in her current situation,she wished she could escape this life live as another person. Elizabeth knew many people wished to be like her and be fortunate enough to be the king's last wife,she remembered how many people had called her lucky,but if only they knew.
Someone hid behind a cherry tree piping at the sad and lonely queen beside the waterfall looking down and trying to fight an inner pain. The person watched as Elizabeth bit hard her lower lip and blood drip out. She must be going through a lot for her to hurt herself that much,the man standing behind the tree thought to himself.
Just then the man felt someone's presence behind him,he quickly drew out his sword and turn swiftly to face the person swigging his sword along,the man behind did likewise and their sword made a sharp click sound.
It was Cristal. "What are you doing here?" Cristal asked the man who seem to have being watching the queen for sometime. The man looked at Cristal but didn't respond to his question.
Cristal removed his sword but instantly swigged it violently to another angle but still aiming at the direction of the man,the man skillful dodged the attack and managed to get out of the way of Cristal who look ready to tear him up.
"How did you get into the palace walls?leave or else you die!" Cristal angrily asked,as though he knew the man from somewhere.
Elizabeth heard the commotion and stood up to see Cristal,her personal guard holding his sword and pointing it at another man who had his back facing her.
The man seem to notice that the queen beside the lake had noticed him. He frown and turned his direction to Cristal and said in a cold and deep voice. "Fine,my time is up anyways" and so bent down and a cloud of smoke surrounded him until he turned into a huge eagle and flew up to the sky. He was a shape shifter.
Cristal looked up and signed seeing that he had left. Elizabeth couldn't deny that she saw for a moment fear in his eyes. "Cristal" Elizabeth called and Cristal immediately walked to the queen and bowed.
"My queen" Cristal bowed. "Who was that? Do you know him?" Elizabeth asked. Cristal didn't say anything at first but later responded. "He is someone I won't wish for her majesty to know of,he is a very very bad person and I will do all in my power to protect you from him,your majesty"
Elizabeth was confused. "Is he that bad?" She asked. Cristal wondered why the queen was so interested in that wicked and heartless man. "My queen may I ask why you seem so interested in that man even after knowing that he isn't a good man."
"I do not know that for sure, I haven't even meant him before"Elizabeth explained. "Beside...I have other reasons" Cristal looked up at the Queen, confused. He hoped she wasn't having another bad idea such like the one of last night.
"Am going to escape the palace,and I would need your help as well as that of your friend" Elizabeth said and Cristal looked shocked than ever. He stood up immediately with questioning eyes and worried looks.
"My queen,you can't"Cristal looked around to ensure no one was listening to their conversation. "Escaping from the palace is a big offence, according to tradition,no wife of the king is supposed to be seen outside the palace without the permission of the king,it is a grave offence."
Elizabeth breath in deeply,she was sure Cristal won't agree with her,for he was only after her safety and nothing less. She couldn't tell Kira as well. She felt frustrated and didn't want to argue with Cristal,but the thought still remain and she kept pondering on how to escape.
Later that day, Elizabeth decided to visit the other Queens. The guards told them that the Queen wishes not to be distributed and were busy moaning their sons.
Elizabeth went back to her chamber, hopelessly. Everything was turning into a nightmare for her and all she could do was to just watch as fate unwrap her like a present.
