The sun shone brightly over the ancient ruins as Apollo stepped out from his temple. He had sensed a disturbance in the natural order of things, and he knew that something was amiss. He looked around and saw a figure in the distance, silhouetted against the light of the sun. It was Helios, the Titan who ruled the sun before Apollo's regime.
Apollo walked forward, feeling a sense of unease. As he got closer, he could see that Helios was different from the last time he saw him. He was stronger, more powerful, and radiated a menacing aura. "What do you want, Helios?" Apollo asked, drawing his bow.
Helios smirked. "What do I want? I want what's rightfully mine. I want the power that you have stolen from me," he said, his voice echoing across the ruins.
Apollo shook his head. "I haven't stolen anything from you. I earned my power through hard work and dedication. I won't let you take it away from me."
Helios laughed. "You're so naive, Apollo. Do you think you can defeat me? I am a Titan, and you're just a mere god. You stand no chance against me," he said, raising his hand.
A beam of intense sunlight shot out from his hand, heading straight toward Apollo. The god of the sun quickly raised his bow and shot an arrow at the beam, hoping to deflect it. But the beam was too strong, and it shattered the arrow into a thousand pieces.
Apollo knew he had to act fast. He drew another arrow and aimed it at Helios. This time, he imbued it with his power, hoping to catch Helios off guard. But the Titan was too quick. He dodged the arrow effortlessly and sent another beam of sunlight toward Apollo.
The god of the sun tried to dodge the beam, but it was too late. The beam hit him directly in the chest, sending him flying across the ruins. Apollo crashed into a pillar, causing it to crumble and fall on top of him.
Helios walked towards Apollo's prone form, smirking. "It's over, Apollo. Your reign ends today," he said, raising his hand to deliver the final blow.
But just as he was about to strike, Apollo opened his eyes. They were glowing with an intense golden light, and Helios could feel the power emanating from them. "You may have defeated me, Helios, but you'll never be able to take my power away," Apollo said, rising to his feet.
Helios was taken aback. He had never seen Apollo like this before. The god of the sun was glowing with an otherworldly light, and his power was greater than ever before. "What are you?" Helios asked, his voice shaking.
Apollo smiled. "I am the sun god. And as long as there is a sun in the sky, my power will never die. Now, let's finish this," he said, raising his bow once again.
Helios tried to attack Apollo once more, but the god of the sun was too quick. He fired arrow after arrow at Helios, each one imbued with his own power. The Titan tried to deflect them, but they were too strong. One by one, the arrows pierced through his defenses, and Helios fell to his knees.
"Impossible," Helios said, looking up at Apollo. "How could you be so powerful?"
Apollo smiled. "I told you, Helios. I am the sun god. And nothing can stop me."
With that, he fired one final arrow at Helios. It struck the Titan in the chest, and he let out a final gasp before he fell backward, but something fell off.
Helios stumbled backwards, his body glowing with a fierce light. Apollo grinned, thinking that he had finally won. But then, something strange began to happen. The light around Helios grew brighter and brighter, until it was almost blinding.
Apollo shielded his eyes, trying to see what was happening. And that was when he realized that he had made a terrible mistake.
The light around Helios was not just a glow - it was raw, uncontrolled power. The Titan was channeling the energy of the sun itself, and he was using it to fight back against Apollo.
The god of the sun tried to fight back, but it was too late. Helios had already absorbed too much energy, and he was now invincible. He raised his hand and shot a beam of pure sunlight at Apollo, striking him right in the chest.
Apollo cried out in pain as the energy burned through his body. He tried to fight back, but he was no match for Helios now. The Titan was too powerful, and he knew how to use his newfound strength to its fullest.
With a final burst of power, Helios unleashed a massive wave of sunlight that engulfed Apollo completely. The god of the sun screamed in agony as he was consumed by the searing light.
And then, as suddenly as it had started, the light faded away. Helios stood victorious, his body still glowing with the power of the sun.
He looked down at Apollo, who was now lying on the ground, gasping for air. The god was battered and broken, his body barely able to move. Helios could have killed him right then and there, but he chose not to. Instead, he simply walked away, leaving Apollo to suffer in the ruins of his temple.
Helios had won the battle, but he knew that the war was far from over. There were other gods who would come for him, seeking revenge for what he had done to Apollo. But he was ready for them. He was the Titan of the sun, and no one would be able to stand against him.
"Golems do the dirty work." The shining Helios left the temple. His Golems picked Apollo up and marched back to the fortress.
The birds inside the temple started flying in all directions. The patients in Apollos Hospital dyed. The god's power was forsaken and his magic disappeared.
Stomp.Stomp...
After hours the Golems arrived at the fortress. Apollo was thrown into the dungeon and locked away.
"Hahaha. This was too easy who would have thought Apollo was this weak?" Helios said sneering. He took a sip of whine and relaxed.
Helios sat on his throne in his fortress, his eyes closed as he concentrated on his thoughts. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. He opened his eyes and saw his servant standing in front of him.
"Master Helios, the army is in perfect condition, and the Land of Sun is under complete control," the servant said with a deep bow.
"Good work," Helios replied, nodding his head in approval.
"We have successfully captured Apollo and imprisoned him in the dungeon, as you instructed."
Helios nodded again. "Very well. And what else do you have to report?"
"Our spies have informed us that the goddess Artemis and her hunters are on their way here to seek revenge for her brother's imprisonment."
Helios raised an eyebrow in interest. "Is that so? Let them come. They cannot harm me."
"Of course, Master Helios. But we must be prepared for any eventuality."
Helios leaned back in his throne, stroking his chin thoughtfully. "Indeed. Very well then. Increase the number of guards and strengthen the fortress defenses."
"As you command, Master Helios."
The servant bowed and turned to leave, but Helios called out to him.
"Wait. Tell me more about the condition of the army. What have they accomplished?"
The servant cleared his throat before answering. "Master Helios, the army has taken complete control of the Land of Sun. The people are in awe of your power and have pledged their loyalty to you. The enemies who dared to oppose us have been crushed, and their lands have been added to your kingdom."
Helios smiled in satisfaction. "Excellent. The power of the sun will shine even brighter under my rule."
"Yes, Master Helios. We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure your victory."
"Good. You may leave now."
The servant bowed once more and left the throne room. Helios sat back, thinking about the events that had led him to this point. He had been reincarnated by his loyal servants and had vowed to take revenge on Apollo for taking his power and ruling the sun. And now, with Apollo imprisoned and the Land of Sun under his control, he was one step closer to achieving his goal.
As for Artemis and her hunters, Helios was not worried. He was too powerful for them to defeat, and he knew it. He would crush them just as he had crushed his other enemies.
Helios leaned back on his throne, a sense of contentment washing over him. He had come a long way since his reincarnation, and he knew that his reign as the ruler of the sun would be a glorious one.
He took another sip of the glass and stared at the horizon.
