Chapter 9 - The fifth day

The night came, and all the students gathered in a vast field. Tonight there will be an art talent activity. Anyone can display their talent, and no one will forbid it.

The MC has already positioned, paying attention to the students still walking to gather in this activity. He just stood on the right, adjacent to the small stage. After everyone gathered, the MC started to speak.

"Good evening, everyone," cheered MC.

"Evening," shouted all the students.

"Okay, tonight we will be holding a talent show, so for those of you who have any talent, please come forward later," said the MC.

"First of all, before we start, how about if our student council president first shows off her talent, don't you agree?" he continued.

"Agree!" Said all the students.

Dylan shouted from the audience, "Ah, I remember. Nathan can play guitar, right? What if they collaborate for this talent show?"

"That's fine," said his friend Nathan, except for Nathan, who just kept quiet.

"Okay, let's watch the performance of our Osis leader with Nathan as the guitar player," said Mc inviting them to come forward.

Amata went first, sitting in a chair that the team had prepared.

"Evening, everyone," said Amata.

"Evening," they replied in unison.

"Thanks to Cece, the MC who has given time to me with my friends, so tonight I present Conan Gray's Memories," said Amata.

Nathan started strumming his guitar, beginning with the intro first.

"Everyone sing together if I raise my hand, and please turn off the lights halfway," ordered Amata.

Amata closed her eyes and opened them to stare straight ahead. There was only a blank stare. Amata's lips began to move.

It's been a couple months

That's just about enough time

For me to stop crying when I look at all the pictures

Now I kinda smile, I haven't felt that in a while

It's late, I hear the door

Bell ringing and it's pouring

I open up that door, see your brown eyes at the entrance

You just wanna talk and

I can't turn away a wet dog

But please don't ruin this for me

Please don't make it harder than it already is

I'm trying to get over this

I wish that you would stay in my memories

But you show up today, just to ruin things

I wanna put you in the past 'cause I'm traumatized

But you're not letting me do that, 'cause tonight

You're all drunk in my kitchen, curled in the fetal position

Too busy playing the victim to be listening to me when I say

"I wish that you would stay in my memories"

In my memories, stay in my memories

Amata's eyes continued to stare ahead. Slowly a tear dripped out of her eyes. Her lips continued to sing.

Now I can't say goodbye if you stay here the whole night

You see, it's hard to find an end to something that you keep beginning

Over and over again

Amata began to raise her hands as if ordering them to sing along.

I promise that the ending always stays the same

So there's no good reason in make believing that we could ever exist again

I can't be your friend, can't be your lover

Can't be the reason we hold back each other from falling in love

Without warning, all the students who witnessed were touched by the singing. Including herself, who was already crying.

With somebody other than me

I wish that you would stay in my memories

But you show up today, just to ruin things

I wanna put you in the past 'cause I'm traumatized

But you're not letting me do that, 'cause tonight

You're all drunk in my kitchen, curled in the fetal position

Too busy playing the victim to be listening to me when I say

"I wish that you would stay in my memories"

In my memories, stay in my memories

Amata's body was shaking because of her crying. She just sat with straight eyes that were shedding tears as if something would destroy her world in the twinkling of an eye.

Since you came

I guess I'll let you stay

For as long as it takes

To grab your books and your coat

And that one good cologne

That you bought when we were fighting

'Cause it's still on my clothes, everything that I own

And it makes me feel like dying

I was barely just surviving

I wish that you would stay in my memories

But you show up today, just to ruin things

I wanna put you in the past 'cause I'm traumatized

But you're not letting me do that, 'cause tonight

Amata lowered her hand to signal that she would no longer sing, but the lights on the cell phone made the atmosphere glitter.

You're all drunk in my kitchen, curled in the fetal position

Too busy playing the victim to be listening to me when I say

"I wish that you would stay in my memories"

In my memories, stay in my memories

Amata finished singing with Nathan, who had completed it too. The audience gave much thunderous applause to both of them. Amata came down from the small platform and ran towards Dylan.

Hugging her brother so tight was the most comfortable thing for her. The body shaking so much worried the older brother about his younger sibling. The MC who saw that got the code to continue the show without Amata.

The event occurred after Amata came down from the small stage, and many students showed their talents. There were singing, dancing, poem, and many more in contrast to one student who seemed angry at someone. Her eyes stared jealously toward Amata, who was treated well by her brother and friends. With a crazy idea, she had to pretend to be bitten by a scorpion. The scorpion has been placed on her leg. Slowly the scorpion bit her leg.

"It hurts," she screamed, making everyone look at her excitedly.

"Please help that student," shouted one of the committee.

Nathan, who saw that immediately ran towards Felly, who was in pain. He carried Felly into the emergency tent. The health team examined and administered medication for the scorpion bite.

After finishing the medication, Felly continued to hold Nathan's hand tightly. She would not let Nathan return to Amata.

"Nathan, can you just stay here with me?" Felly said softly.

Those who hear want to vomit. Nathan, who listened to that glared at Felly, who was setting himself up.

"Let go of my hand now," Nathan said coldly.

"But I want to be with you, Nathan. How can you leave me? What if there's a scorpion later?" said Felly with a cute face made up.

"There are no scorpions here. So if you want to hurt yourself, think before you do it," said Nathan.

Felly, who heard that, lowered her head, embarrassed at Nathan's words. Nathan had left after saying that. The organizers who were in the tent laughed.

"Shut up, you guys," Felly shouted.

They fell silent again but still chuckled. Felly is now living alone. She shouldn't have to hurt herself if she ultimately fails.

Amata was still crying in Dylan's arms but crying a little softly. Nathan who had come was just silent. He didn't know what to do.

"My sweet little sister, don't cry anymore, please. He's calm there. He's not sick anymore," Dylan said.

"He's evil," whispered Amata.

"He traumatized me. He destroyed my trust in him," Amata said again.

"Just forget about that, sweety. Now, do you want to go to the tent or the villa anymore?" asked Dylan.

"Villa," she answered, still wiping her nose.

"Come on, I'll take you there," said Dylan.

"I want to sleep with Ale and Zey. And Nathan will take care of the three of us," said Amata, seducing her brother.

"Bwahahaha," laughed Raga, and the others followed.

"Shut up," said Nathan.

"It looks like you're becoming a maid," said Bobby.

Amata, tired of crying, had fallen asleep in Dylan's arms. Without her, the event would have taken place. Dylan took Amata in the car to go to the villa in the forest. The two of them followed with Ale and Zey behind. After arriving at the fourth car, they entered and Dylan took his car. It took a little while for them to come. Dylan carried Amata, who was sleeping. After entering the not-so-big villa, Amata lay on the bed after arriving in Dylan's room. He said goodbye to Zey and Ale to return to the event they left earlier.

"I'm leaving right now, take care of this kid," Dylan said before leaving.

"Alright, don't forget to send Nathan here," shouted Ale.

"It's a loss for you to scream. Dylan is gone," said Zey.

Ale grumbled in annoyance because she was left behind every time she talked. It's annoying; now she will sleep with these two best friends.

"What's wrong with me? They always leave me behind," annoyed Ale.

With an annoyed feeling, Ale immediately lay down on Zey's right side. She had been sleepy since earlier. The three girls were fast asleep. They sleep with Amata on the left, Zey in the middle, and Ale on Zey's right. Someone who saw the three sleeping felt relieved because he could return to the program earlier.

"I'd rather be gone than here," he said.

"But I have been ordered to look after this girl, so I have to sleep in the next room," he said to himself.

That person was Nathan. He caught up with them earlier after Dylan came back. It's better to sleep here than there, which makes his body ache. Maybe tomorrow, he won't have any more problems like this. Enough of his team members are missing and getting mysterious messages.

Without further thinking, he immediately entered the room. His eyes were very sleepy. Lay down on the bed and fall asleep.
