After swallowing the skill pill. I received a new message. I read the message and to my surprise, it wasn't a F-ranked pill. It was a D-ranked pill.
Congrats - You obtained a D-rank skill. Also, please don't swallow random things. Here is the skill listed. Small Knife Handling D - You can carve and cook with small knives proficiently. People will notice how well you eat with knives.
What…the hell is this skill? Do skills like this really exist? This seems like something an influential kid would get. Even if they did would they use it anywhere other than eating? Well, it says I can carve with small knives. Maybe I can make figures or carve a book chest.
I should make a gift for Lafker. He has some valuable books. I think he has one limited edition book a rare book among rare books. I wonder if they have book chests. No, I don't think so. I have to carve it all out.
Well maybe if I use it enough times I can get the skill to get raised. A D-ranked skill is good but it isn't a combat skill. At least it is better than the virtual wallet skill. The skill virtual wallet has no ranking because it is a skill that can't get more powerful. Can't complain about it. I no longer have to worry about carrying a pouch full of coins. No thief can steal my money again.
That doesn't mean they can't take the wagon pass. That is something people could steal. If I have anything small it could still get stolen because I don't have an inventory skill. Not that I need one. I just want to become strong. Enough sitting around time to find more plants and beasts.
I got up and left my resting place. Good thing I did. I see a wolf eating a goblin no more than 15 feet from my resting place. Let's see, two wolves eating one goblin corpse. Lone Goblin got caught lacking. Well, thanks to your incompetence little green guy. I am able to profit from killing wolves.
I leap out from behind some bushes with my clay demon blade right at a wolf that was not facing me. He was thankfully eating the butt of the dead goblin. While he was eating ass, I was able to break his head. The wolf just dropped. The other one was caught off guard. He immediately went in an attack stance.
After I smashed the head of the wolf I tried raising my blade. The other wolf took this opportunity to launch at me. He jumped really high so all I did was duck down. Which was good because after the wolf missed me it fell to the ground.
I tried to turn around and kill the wolf. Except it got up too quickly. It was able to get up and move a bit away from where it landed. It lowered its stance to try and counter my next move. This one is a smart demonic beast. I wish I took this one out first. Let's see how desperate it gets.
I backed away and the wolf took that opportunity to get closer to me. With every step I took back, the wolf took a step forwards. I am now close to the carcass. So let's see how it acts when I take its meal!
I grabbed the next of the freshly killed, slightly eaten goblins and ran. I could hear it run for me. Or maybe it was after it's the meal. Good to know what it is after. I jumped over a push and threw the goblin forward. It just so happens to fall into a pond. Not a big one but I did make the wolf's meal soggy.
Well, now little wolf. What will you do with a ruined meal? The wolf jumped over the bush as I did. Ha, now this is good for me. While it was in the air I smacked it in its side with my demon blade. I heard a big crunch. That must have been a bone that broke. After the crunch, I could hear the wolf whimper. It tried to land on its legs but the front right leg made it fall to the ground. I almost feel bad for the thing.
