We both ordered an appetizer. She wanted a plant-based one, while I wanted something with meat. I got something called Takoyaki. It is octopus meat with some other ingredients in a ball shape. From what Lafker has said they are good.
"Sephker, where did you get such a nice suit?" Luna asked. I will be honest. No reason to lie. She knows how much money I make. She knows I couldn't afford this.
"My dad gave it to me. Once he found out I was hanging out with a girl he got very serious." I said bluntly.
"Doe-Does Sage Alphor know I am on a da-date with you?" Luna said after biting her tongue.
"No, I just said I was going out with a girl today. That is what I said." I said with a soft tone. Luna wiped the sweat off her forehead. I mean my dad is influential. So being known can be a good or a bad thing. I wouldn't name-drop her name. Or did I? I am not too sure. Might as well not think about it now.
We got our food and before my last takoyaki, I mention Luna's mom in my next sentence. "I met Mariella the other day. Your mom is so nice. She paid for a meal at the restaurant I went to." When I said that she choked on her food.
I gave her my water since she had already drunk her glass. I guess her mom must be scary. I will remember that. When she whipped her mouth she spoke up. "Did she say anything?"
I took a moment before I spoke. "Nothing much really. She knew me just by looking at me. She must know me as the pattycakes. That name still haunts me today." I said. Luna had a small blush on her face. If she was like that wolf girl I bet her ears would be folded down.
It feels like Luna was not nervous anymore. I am going to be sure not to mention family members to Luna. Which is saddening because I want to know about Solar. Especially her weaknesses. I have to get revenge on her.
Now time to order my food. I decided to get a plant-based meal to eat with Luna. I know she is similar to a goat, I just hope she eats meat eventually.
Not that vegetarians are bad. It is just that it is hard to make a meal for a family. Now making two meals for dinner every day will get annoying. Though if someone loves another that much you could get used to it.
Oh, our Decomia Salads have arrived. It is a weird meal in my opinion. It has two types of lettuce. Onion and potatoes. Tomatoes and even some other items. The weird part is that cold wet rice is added. So it is still soft when you are chowing down.
We both were eating when the waiter came back to refill our water. There was more small talk here and there. It was a good dinner date. What worries me is the topic she brought up.
"Ok, I will pay for this meal." She said while pulling out a bag of gold. Woah! I believe in the old way of thinking but I feel like I have to pay.
"I would rather pay for it. It can't be more than 140 gold." I said but then the waiter showed me the bill. All that food for 130 gold? I was prepared for a big price but I am glad I didn't buy a soda.
"No, it's ok I know you haven't been getting paid that much. I mean you slayed a lot of slimes. It only pays 1 iron giant per core." She said looking at me with kindness. That kindness hurts somehow. It's like pity.
"I got a bonus. Do you know that abandoned amusement park?" I asked with a smug look. Luna nodded at my question.
"I helped the old owner and he gave me 100 gold for clearing it out. I have enough money to pay. Let's just not go anywhere too fancy for dessert." I said with an awkward chuckle.
