I tried to get up but my body felt wet for some reason. Wait my arm is feeling wet all around me. Ah, boobs are around my arm. My mind started to receive this message every other second. <+1 sin point> I ignored it after a while because I was getting annoyed. I turned my face to look up. I see the trees that fell. What is that? A Black big cat?
No, it's not a big cat. It's a big fat black cat. He is a big and choncky absolute unit. This is the SS Rank Demonic Beast. Great Round Hungry Boi (or girl depending on gender). This beast indiscriminately attacks. It needs to constantly eat or it will die of hunger. If it doesn't eat meat within an hour it dies.
I have seen illustrations of its death, and even though this beast is a terrible monster. Its death is quite sad. If it wasn't for this girl saving me I would be done for. I am 5'8 but I know that beast could have just gobbled me right up.
"Thank you, fellow adventurer!" I said turning to her. She was an Animal Person. Like Luna but a different species. She looks more wolf or dog-like. I know we are in a bad situation but I need to pat her head. It's a bad habit I have had since I was small.
When I saw a young Animal Person at the parties I attended I always patted their heads. Dog, cat, goat, bunny, didn't matter. All Animal People I could pat received pats. I was given a name back in the day.
"Don't thank me yet, My party and I need you to get you to safety." She turns to me. "Ah, I saved the Unauthorized HeadPatter!" She yelled in terror, folding her wolf-like ears down. She knows that nickname too!
"I won't pat your head, I get that it was wrong even for a kid to pat heads. Anyways we got a Great Round Hungry Boi to deal with. I wouldn't even think of patting a head at a time like this!" I said completely lying. I did have a thought about patting her head.
The Demonic Beast got back up and bent their back legs. It's ready to jump and eat us! We need to dodge out of the way. While thinking that a big muscular man came from behind us. He was floating in the air with a heavy two-handed sword. When he got close to the beasts it looks like he gained more mass, because he fell faster.
The cat hissed when it got attacked. A small cut was formed on the left neck of the beast. Since it didn't cut deeper that means he hit the beast's muscles or isn't strong enough to cut deeper. I guess it is because he hit a muscle. I mean that man has to be strong with those muscles.
"Gerald! We got Another ally! Except we need to protect him!" The wolf girl yelled to that muscular man.
"I know who he is! That man petted my girl back in the day! I had to prove I was fit enough to pet my wife! But that bastard put his hands on her before me!" Gerald yelled back to the wolf girl. Wait who did I pet? I don't remember what his girl looked like. I just know I will never pet her again. I don't want to be on his bad side.
From my right side, an arrow surrounded by magic pierced the back side of the Demonic Beast. An Elf in swamp foliage appeared from the water. He pulled his bow back and released an arrow without magic. It hit the same spot as the previous arrow did. Splitting the previous arrow in half.
If he is that skilled he must have a snipping skill. That or he has way too much time to train. He remained standing there until the bests attention was on him. He jumped back into the water to hide again.
"Wow, what a great shot! He also knows how to camouflage himself." I said very impressed with his abilities.
"Yeah that is Ji-woo, she is a little bit of a maniac when it comes to hunting. She takes it very seriously." I mean everyone has their hobbies. Her hobby is important to the peace of this world.
The cat suddenly charged toward me and the wolf girl. We both went in opposite directions to jump away. The big cat changed directions again and targeted me. I pulled out my sword and sliced at it. I luckily hit its nose. It got mad that I hit the snoot and did a light swipe at me.
I blocked my vitals but didn't expect it to make me fly back. Also, those were sharp claws. I am now bleeding. Dark red blood means it hit an artery. Damn, I opened the Cursed Lust System uo and manifested both of the small health potions. I rank one of them.
My body healed but not all the way. It healed enough that the blood will be able to close the wound once it drys up. I wasn't much use. I have to sit out right now. Damn, it sucks being weak. I just need to get more Sin Points. That costs money though. Or some girl willingly giving me a fun time. Yeah, that wouldn't happen.
So that is what a team is like. I was able to hide in the woods after the others took down the beast. To think an A-ranked team could kill an SS-ranked Demonic Beast. Well, it did take over an hour to kill it. With it dead we left to go back to the guild.
