Draven shook his head.
"No, that is not it. I just don't have an answer yet. I believe that by the time I return later, I will have an answer. So I will tell you then. It's a promise."
He grabbed his coat from the closet and wore it over the casual clothes he was wearing.
As Avelina got into the bed to lie down, she watched him slip his shoes on and begin to button his coat. She could not stop herself from wondering where he was going.
"Santino is guarding outside, so do not worry about anything, alright? He will watch over you and make sure no harm comes to you. Also, you can call me if you need to." Draven looked over his shoulder, offering her a barely perceptible smile.
"Okay." Avelina nodded and lay down on the bed, covering herself with the duvet.
Draven stuffed his car key into the pocket of his coat. He properly adjusted his glasses and exited the room.
