"I saw a bookstore down there, and it's huge!" Avelina replied with her head stuck out the window. She could still glimpse the height and roof of the building.
"Oh…" Draven slightly agreed with a slight nod of his head. "That is the largest bookstore we have," he said.
Avelina's smile widened, displaying her whitish teeth. She gasped in the next second when she felt Draven grab her by the collar of her coat.
"Don't stick your head out, Avelina. Vampires can easily smell a human scent, so you could get hurt." Draven sat her down and ruffled her hair to adjust it.
Avelina slowly nodded with an apologetic smile. She took a soft breath and inquired, "May I ask where we are going?"
"To meet some people," Draven responded.
"Oh...I see…" Avelina gave a nod and asked no further questions.
