Avelina! He exclaimed inwardly and quickly began to swim all the way down. He grabbed hold of the brown sack, and just as he had expected, she was indeed the one who had been tied inside the sack with no way to breathe or save herself.
Draven quickly untied the bag, letting her head pop out. He looked at her pale face and secured her in his arms. Then he began to swim up, and once he arrived at the very top, he jerked his head out, inhaling a long, deep breath.
He breathed heavily and swam to the edge. Valentine and Olive, who had settled Lucy on the ground, pulled him out while he held onto Avelina.
Draven stretched out his nails, using them to tear the bag into pieces, completely freeing Avelina. He untied her hands and pulled her into his arms, gently caressing her hair.
"Draven…I- is she…okay? Is she still alive?" Valentine was deeply worried. Avelina's face was completely discolored, as though of a corpse. "Is she…cold?"
