"Let her go," Annette began to plead. "I know that she has done many wrongs, some of which are even unforgivable, Michael, but please let her go. Forgive her this once. She is our daughter, and you would never find any joy in hurting her like this. Please, I will take responsibility for what she has done, just let go of her."
She fell to her knees in front of him, her tears dripping from her eyes onto the floor.
Mr. Hamilton's forehead wrinkled as a frown formed on his face, and he grabbed hold of Annette, throwing her out of the way. "If you love her this much, you should have warned her before she ran. You should have taught her the consequences of going against me!"
"You both are good for nothing, and you should be grateful that I'm still keeping you around."
