Avelina blinked her pupils, stunned. "Edward? Um, I guess so. He liked what I was reading, so we talked about it. It was sort of fun, actually."
"Why?" Draven interrupted her.
"Huh?" A look of bewilderment emerged on Avelina's face.
Draven tightened his grip on the pen he was holding, causing it to break into two. The more she answered him, the more annoyed he got. He could not even seem to control his emotions.
"You only discuss your book with me, Avelina. Why Edward?" He tried to keep his tone calm, not wanting her to assume he was mad, even though he appeared to be.
Avelina held a sudden look of amusement.
"It doesn't have to be only you, Draven. Besides, he just wanted to talk, and you weren't avai—"
"Do you like him?" as Draven asked, he frantically scratched his nails against the table, starting to ruin it.
Avelina was quite taken aback by his question. "What?"
