Avelina let go of the duvet and quickly stood up, stepping back away from the bed. How could she have such thoughts? They were sinful, or so she wanted to make herself believe.
But sinful wasn't what she felt. It was rather the opposite. There was not a possibility that anything with that man could be called sinful. It would be heavenly, wouldn't it?
She was immediately snapped out of her drifting thoughts when the sound of the running water became even louder. She whipped her head, glancing at the door of the bathroom.
Avelina moved towards the door, grabbing the handle and opening it. Of course, this wasn't what she wanted to do, but her body was moving on its own accord. It was unwilling to listen to her, as though she had lost absolute control of it.
But she'd barely stepped further into the bathroom before she came to a sudden stop, her long lashes slowly blinking.
