They walked for a short while before Natasha finally came to a stop. In front of them stood a tall fence. It was the fence that Draven had built, separating the general pavilion ground from his garden and the pavilion.
"This is the closest we can get to his quarter without having to go through the foyer." Natasha glanced over at Laila. "Dig," she ordered.
Without hesitation, Laila grabbed the shovel and held it tightly to its hilt. She began to dig nonstop, even though she was sweating like crazy under the layers of clothing she wore in order to avoid the sun.
"That's enough." Natasha stopped her. She brought out the talisman, and with the use of her own hand, she buried it in the ground and poured the sand over it, covering it.
She matched it continuously until the sand blended in perfectly with the rest.
"That's better."
Laila fidgeted with her hands. She still looked somewhat afraid.
