Avelina took a long, deep breath and moved in to embrace him.
"I'm sorry for making you worry so much. I'm sorry."
"You are? Why? Does that mean that you will not—"
"Yes." Avelina nodded at him. "I will wait for you to save me. So don't waste too much time, okay? Or else, I might not be able to deal with the pain much longer. I think my body will give up first." She let out a soft breath.
Draven sighed lightly and buried his face in her neck, deeply inhaling her scent in relief. "I will," he whispered.
He then asked, "Are you cold?"
Avelina nodded. "A little bit."
Draven pulled away. He took his coat off and wrapped it around her. Then, carefully, he lifted her into his arms and stood up to his feet.
"Do you want to go to the pavilion with me? I'll feed you. You must eat, okay? I don't want you to get sick."
Avelina gave a nod and wrapped her arms around his neck. He left the room for the pavilion and walked up the stairs.
