Mr. Bennet then added.
"I understand that I am no match for you, however, I hope you could at least give me this little information, an insight perhaps, and satiate my curiosity so that I can leave in peace."
Draven gazed at him before abruptly smirking in the most mocking way ever.
This had Mr. Bennet blink his eyes in confusion. Something about that sudden snicker made the hairs on his skin rise. He did not like it at all. "Why…are you—"
"Do you think you ever left the starting point?" Draven asked.
"Huh?" Mr. Bennet was bewildered. "What do you mean?"
Draven's smirk grew even more. "You spoke of how you were so close to solving the case, but I am sorry to burst your bubble. Mr. Bennet Pons, you never even started, talk of getting to the finish line. You were always at the starting line, but you just never realized it."
Mr. Bennet's eyes flickered rapidly.
"What do you mean? W-what are you talking about?"
