Santino shook his head at him.
"I cannot do that, young master. Please, you have to stay with Lady Avelina."
"I know that, but I have something important to do right now. You look after—"
"No." Santino interrupted him. "If anything begins to go wrong, I do not think that I can handle it. Please stay back, young master. If there is any errand that you may desire to run, I will do it for you."
Draven's face crumpled. He wanted to say something to Santino, but he could not seem to do so. Anyone staring at him could tell that he was heavily stressed.
Without saying a word to Santino, he turned around and stepped back into the room. He grabbed his phone and dialed Olive's number.
[Don] Olive answered.
"Olive, have you heard of "La mort dans le sommeil?" Draven inquired.
[Huh? La mort dans le Sommeil?]
"Yes," Draven confirmed. "You have lived with some sort of witch before, right? Surely you must know what it is."
