Xander wasn't too sure Mordred would be pleased to know that he had sworn allegiance to another deity while still being his herald. However, the Lord of Terror wasn't here to aid him, and the only one who could get him out of this mess was Neriti.
Although Xander knew that Neriti had led several Dreamwalkers to their deaths, he was happy to serve her if it meant he could face the Blind Deity on equal ground and rescue Leena's soul from this twisted realm.
As soon as Xander's sight returned, he was taken aback by the opponent standing before him. Xander had expected the Shadow Guardian to be some daunting monstrosity, but instead, he found himself staring at an aged version of himself.
