As Marvin marveled at the sight, he could not help but wonder how Xander had managed to bring a soul back from the Drowsy Leviathan after it had left its port.
It was true that being appointed as the true Wardens of the Soulscape gave the Nyxons tremendous power in this realm, but there were always limitations. And there was no way even the most powerful Nyxon could oppose a deity who watched over the Soulscape.
"How did you do it? The souls aboard the Drowsy Leviathan are guarded by the All-Seer, the Blind Deity's only daughter. And she is nearly as stubborn as her mother."
"She let Leena leave. I didn't do anything," Xander replied, surprising Marvin.
"That is...strange. I cannot believe she would just let you walk away without asking for anything in return."
"I think I passed her tests," Xander responded. "But I still need her mother's approval."
