The death of the Dreamwalker who had summoned the Corrupted Cavalier to this world was supposed to weaken the headless horseman since it was essentially a mindless Ethereal whose sole purpose was to serve a master.
However, for some reason, the cavalier remained standing even after Renace's fall. In fact, he didn't look the slightest bit disturbed by his master's demise.
Xander looked suspiciously at the headless horseman as he raised his mace and tugged at the reins of his undead stallion before charging straight at Raymund.
Raymund ducked under the cavalier's mace and retaliated by slicing the undead stallion's legs with his enchanted longsword. The horse neighed and crashed into the ground, knocking the headless rider off its back, before slumping into a pile of bones.
