The corrupted aura surrounding the ghoul made it difficult for Xander to go on the offensive. While heightened reflexes could help him dodge the abomination's punches and kicks, there was no way for him to protect himself from the ghoul's decaying presence. If he stepped too close, the corrupted aura would cause his flesh to rot.
Since the cultist had now turned into an undead being, Leena's cards and weapons would have been highly effective against him, but Xander was all alone here. And he didn't have a single card in his inventory, which could inflict holy damage.
As the ghoul hurtled toward Xander on all fours, he snapped his fingers to summon another card from his set. "Play card: Dance of Shadows!"
Immediately two identical clones appeared beside Xander, armed with the same weapons and dressed exactly like him. Xander quickly swapped places with the clone on his left and swapped his scythe for his enchanted revolver.
