The Dreamwalker training manuals listed several methods of dealing with Ankarogs, but none of them went into detailed discussions about the Patriarch since Patriarch sightings were a rare incident.
Though a few Dreamwalkers had encountered Ankarog Patriarchs in the nightmare realm, they had never fought one on this side of the veil. Xander and Leena were the first Dreamwalkers to come face to face with such a dangerous cryptid in the real world, and the fact that it was attacking a human village, only made the situation even more complicated.
Many more would die if they failed to stop the Ankarog Patriarch right here. And with their leader still alive, the rest of the colony would soon flock to the real world to create nesting grounds on this side of the veil.
