Another tough decision glared Xander in the face. Once more, he was being asked to choose sides, but he had already pledged his allegiance to the Lord of Terror.
Xander could see that his corrupted blood was distorting his perceptions and influencing his actions. But severing his ties with Mordred would prove to be an impossible task now since he had willingly agreed to become his herald.
"Are you willing to accept the light of Kiya into your heart?" Master Ramone asked, readying himself to start the ritual.
Xander however, shook his head. "I can't. Mordred has appointed me as his herald. There's no backing out of this one."
"There are ways to break the bond between a master and his herald, even if the master is someone like Mordred," Master Arwin said.
