Reddish-black lines appeared under Xander's eyes, charring the skin on his face. He felt a sudden weakness in his chest and went down on his knees. The Blind Deity lording over the Soulscape had stripped him of his powers and cursed him for violating the unwritten laws of the Soulscape.
By shattering a Dream Crystal inside the Soulscape, Xander had defiled the purity of the realm, tainting his bloodline. And to punish him for his crime, the deity had shackled his bloodline abilities.
